Great place to take a bunch of 16 year old boys. Loved that they gave the option of paying $30 per room to add the extra hour after the normal 10pm close time. Gave more time for the slides since there were less folks around. The ropes coarse and mini golf were good but the rest was really for smaller ones. Arcade was a little expensive. The ladies at the arcade restaurant were great though. Very sweet and a lot less wait time. Had pretty much everything any. Other snack place had, even brews. The only complaint was the smell of our villa, which was the basic one. It smelled like urine. immaculate looking house very close to the next house(villas). The villa had pretty much all, pots dinner plates, saucers, silverware and spatulas and knifes. Just needed drinks and foods you want and we were set. They did have dish washing powder and liquid for sink and paper towels.

Great place to stay! My only issues would be that the beds are not that comfortable and the elevator wait time is a little long. I would definitely go back though. The amenities are top notch and the food and costumer service are excellent. The staff are very polite and helpful.

My family and I stayed for 3 nights and had a lot of fun with the water park. The rooms were actually pretty nice considering other water resorts we’ve stayed at. Besides checking in, the service wasn’t very great. I’d say that 90% of the workers were very unfriendly and housekeeping wouldn’t take my trash. She asked me to throw it away myself.I’ve worked in the service industry before, so I know there’s something going on with upper management if the workers are unhappy and unfriendly. Either they are being worked too much or they aren’t getting paid enough. Management might want to look into why their workers are so unhappy.My other complaint is the pricing of the food. I understand that resorts are going to be higher priced than normal, but for those prices the food should be amazing and it’s subpar. Also, the arcade room needs AC as well as the rest of the building. It’s August. My family shouldn’t be sweating inside the building.

My family and I stayed at the new villas which were perfect for us. Spacious, fully furnished, private, and had a game room that the kids enjoyed. We rented out cabanas and Robert took great care of us. We also had the best Cabana host, I can’t think of her name but shes from Jamaica, has light brown hair, with glasses. Loved her!! Overall we had a blast!! No complaints

Wonderful experience and a place worth visiting if you enjoy Waterparks. Parking and checking in was a piece of cake. Convenient room key wrist band as well as optional money resource to keep you from packing loose cash n wallets that could be lost or stolen. The water in the wave pool was a bit on the cold side for indoors. However, the water for the slides was like bathwater and very enjoyable. The slides were enjoyable for both young n old. They didn't beat you to death! Most anything you could think of coffee games snakes meals all available at arms reach at the hotel! Great overall experience!

Room was dirty. Dead bugs by the patio door. Patio screen wouldn’t open. Coffee pot had mold growing in it. Bathroom was a mess and in disrepair. House keeping came into the room unannounced on Friday after check in while my daughter was changing. They came in again as we were taking luggage out to the car. Checkout time is 11 we found them turning our room over at 10, with our belongings in there. Overall service was poor. Amenities for the kids is great, but not worth the price due to cleanliness and service.

We stayed here for the second time on 01/13/2024 and had wonderful time. Rooms were clean and beds were comfy. I loved everything about this place but I do want to point out the new lazy river does need some improvements. I believe it could use some slowing down on the part where you are to enter and exit the ride due to the water is very fast and almost can push you if you’re not a bigger person. We noticed there wasn’t much of a light show either as advertised. Overall we enjoyed our stay and all the staff were nice and lifeguards were very observant. We also loved getting frozen yogurt and the Firefly restaurant. Drinks at the restaurant were delicious. We’re very much looking forward to coming back in a few months!

I have been here multiple times, as my kids love swimming. The staff are kind and the facilities are okay and convincingly fine, but there are too many people. Especially in the case of spas, there are so many people that there is no room to step on if I exaggerate a little and the water is dirty. I recommend coming here when it's not crowded.

We have stayed at this resort many times over the years and our children fully enjoy the water park. However, this year instead of booking through the Wyndham portion of the resort we booked through the regular desk. Because we have a large family and we’re coming to celebrate our grandsons birthday we booked not one but 3 rooms. The total accommodation would be for 15 people. Each of the 3 rooms had a rate that was based on 1-4 people before the price would increase per person ( an additional fee of $30 per person)This would mean with 4 people per room you would receive 4 water park wristbands per room. Upon arrival , we were informed we could only have a total of 5 wristbands. It seems to be simple math that 3 rooms x 4 bands per room is 12 wristbands before you begin to pay for additional people. We were perfectly willing to pay for the additional people above 12. Samatha , the front desk manager, explained that because we scheduled all 3 rooms on the same booking it reduced the number of wristbands included. This just doesn’t make sense to meIn any way. Purchasing more rooms shouldLead to an increased benefit, not a decreased benefit. I’m disappointed to say after many years of family and business trips, and our daughter even having worked here during her college years, this utter ridiculousness has caused this to be our last stay here. I would love for upper management to offer a valid reason for such an illogical business practice. May 17-19 2024

This was my family and I first time visiting this establishment it was awesome. My kids loved every minute of it. The rooms are nice, cozy, and clean. The only update they needed are the shower heads need to be changed out. I wouldn't say the restaurants are too costly inside of the establishments ( I have a family of five and we spend on average $60 a meal) because the food was more than enough and taste really good none of that microwavable mess everything was fresh homemade. They have a Starbucks, 4 different restaurants, 3 stores and they had plenty of activities for the kids as well as adults. The only downside is I don't know if it's because it's not quite summer time yet. But the outside pool closed a little early 6 p.m. and the inside pool stays open till 10 pm. Okay so customer service was friendly, but the front desk lady named Toni. She was a little too straight to the point have your I.D. ready in your hand okay you're done they will text you with your room number. I informed her this was my first time visiting. She did not give me a map or say hey will let me tell you a little about our establishment none of that. I just think that she may need to go to a customer service class because she's representing her establishment first. Note I did have other family members there and they received the five-star treatment at the customer service desk. Again I really love this establishment this was my only downfall. And I would never down talk anyone visiting.

Well this place is pretty awesome. 2 adults, 2 kids stayed 3 nights and it ended up costing about $ told including food. I love the wristband as the room key and used it to pay for everything. Our room was one with a kitchen and while it was nice it wasn’t quite spacious enough. To open the Murphy bed and use the pull out couch we had to move everything in the kitchen. There was nowhere to put our bags besides the table tops and the chairs. Overall for the price of the room I was pleased though. The water park was awesome. Very friendly staff and everything seemed pretty well kept. Plan on keeping the weight off climbing the stairs for the slides. The climbing course, arcade, mini golf, and climbing wall were also great additions, however not too cheap. Use the deals they have for credits. Overall very happy with our stay. Thank you.

We come here every spring, and I can not say enough about how much we love it here! This place is always amazingly clean and the staff is very friendly. Which I feel is a tall order for a resort centered around water parks, with so many rooms, and the large majority full of children. We didn't hear any noise from our rooms, running jumping, laughing, or yelling. They must have extra soundproofing. We stay in upscale hotels and can hear the people in adjoining rooms and kids jumping upstairs. This place has good food, beverages, and an arcade to keep everybody entertained. And they don't leave out adults. Live music by Hayden Wright was fantastic, and plenty of drink options. Well done Wilderness!!

Reserved a two night stay with the kids. Upon arrival was notified that reservation for today was cancelled without notification, and the deposit was transferred to tomorrow’s reservation. They only have me for tomorrow. Now after Midnight, time when all the hotels in the area are fully booked I am left in the car with no hotel room and five kids wanting to sleep and no place to go. How great is that. I paid the deposit around 500$ for “no room available” two days prior to arrival. If there is no place to stay today, obviously I cannot keep tomorrow’s reservation. They ruined my vacation.

This place is awesome, we have stayed twice now and they are incredible to deal with. I want to shout out Madison, Lisa, Taylor and Samantha, these ladies are incredible at their job and do a fantastic job. We had a problem and they were fast and effective at resolving the issue. I just want to say thanks my birthday was awesome because of them.

The rooms are nice. Fairly clean. The “update” went over the promised 90 minutes even though we were very clear at the beginning that we had no intention of buying.Water park is great. It would be nice if they turned off the music temporarily during thunderstorm closures so that we can enjoy the storm without the extra noise.

We stayed in the Wyndham time share condos, and loved it! We had space and were able to cook, do laundry, take a nice bath, and all around enjoyed our time. There was construction going on during our stay, which was a bummer, but I'm hopeful it will be worth it when finished. The surrounding areas are pretty touristy and it would be nice to have more parks or things near or around. We will be back and excited to see the new changes.

We stayed here for the first time and had a blast. We went mid week and there where no lines for any of the slides. We had lots of fun doing the boogie boarding on the surf machine and enjoyed lounging in the hot tub and basketball in the pool.We got the kids (5 & 7) the adventure stay pass. They had fun doing the ropes coarse climbing in the arcade. And my son did the climbing wall. The rest of the others things were not very impressive. We won't be paying to get the pass again.The room was nice with a full kitchen. Service was not quite as expected. Any time we called to get more of something (Towels, dishwasher detergent, sheets/blankets) it would take a very long time and what they brought would not even be correct. We had to call back one or two more times for them to actually get it right. It was kind of bizarre how it kept happening every single time we needed something.Overall we had a great time and would recommend this place to friends. We will probably go back at some point in the future.

My experience was amazing! My children enjoyed there self and so did I. The only thing I didn’t like was the elevator kept being out of service and I was expecting to do my laundry but the laundry was out of service as well. A lot of activities to do in the area as well.Overall I enjoyed my stay and will return in the future!

I recently stayed here and I had accidentally left my brand new shoes in a drawer went back after checking out and waited 2+ hours just so they could tell me sorry but nothing was turned in the lost and found so in that case whoever they have as cleaners must have stole the shoes and not turned them in as suppose to resulting in not doing their jobs correct. They made me fill out a lost and found report but didn’t seem to care brushed it off instead of looking into who cleaned the day I checked out and question as to why it wasn’t turned in. So if you plan to stay here make sure you don’t leave any expensive valuables/Items because they most likely won’t care or look into. I think it could have been such a simple situation to look into since it had just been a day from checking out of the room but staff seem not to care since they don’t loose nothing.

I would definitely recommend staying in the nicer options on the resort. The wilderness is definitely not worth the money. It seems it hasn’t been updated since it open with the resort. The room was very tight with a god awful bathroom that only had one light, plus only one rod to hold your towels. The water would leak all over the floor as well. Black spots in the corners of the bathroom as well, didn’t even want to investigate it because it just seemed like something I shouldn’t touch. The beds weren’t comfortable at all, the comfort I could compare them to are the beds from my freshman year college dormitory. The hallways were disgusting during my whole stay (four days), basically other guest would treat the hallways like it was a public trash can. When we arrived they had no dollies to put our luggage on, we were told we had to find them ourselves if we didn’t see any in the lobby, which we never did. I search for one for about 30 minutes and couldn’t find one to save my life. I was livid due the fact my mother and father had terrible back and leg pain.I give this place a 2 because it at least has a Starbucks and a decent little bar to forget about how terrible and run down the rest of this place is.Staying here makes sense if you’re on a budget, but to be honest if you really want a safe and comfortable experience this particular hotel at the resort isn’t worth it at all.

The customer service here was immaculate!!! Ms.Toni was very friendly and so were the other ladies. Southern hospitality at its finest. Our room 23040 was updated nice and clean. No complaints whatsoever. However, our upstairs neighbors were sooooooo noisy I had to call the front desk. We definitely didn’t get a goods night sleep but it didn’t ruin our stay. Will definitely revisit when it’s warmer and everything is open !!

We came for my five year olds birthday and he loved it. The indoor park wasn’t as big as I thought, but it was fine. No hot tubs that I could see.The food is the biggest complaint. The only thing I would order is the pizza. The snacks are overpriced for what they are. The breakfast was by far the worst. Paid 80$ for our family to do the buffet. It consisted of frozen cinnamon rolls, pop tarts, and cereal. You get a better variety at the holiday inn. And better quality.The rooms were clean and fun for the kids (bunk beds! Woo!)I’d do it again but I’d make a point to bring my own snacks and only eat their pizza.

Great service and rooms are clean, attractive, and comfortable. We had a 2 bedroom with a balcony. The kitchen is well appointed. Many activities and an indoor and outdoor water park for all ages. Close to many attractions and a short distance to the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. Perfect vacation stay.

This place was amazing! We want to come back and stay longer. I’d say you should do a minimum of 3 days, but 4-5 would be better, especially if you want to do non-resort things.The lifeguards are diligent and fair. The wave pools are definitely rough without much of an “easy mode,” but everything is perfect.Our room had a few minor oddities- toilet needed re-siliconed to the floor, the bathroom light flickered a time or two when it first came on, the light switches were a bit weird in their placement, and the dishwasher was missing 5 of 8 wheels on the bottom rack. It could probably use a new toilet seat.But it was awesome!

This use to be a place we loved to visit often, but this time was so disappointing. The room wasn't as clean as they use to be. There was food under the table with a trail of ants going to it. We checked in looking forward to enjoying the dinner buffet ( one of our favorite) but to our surprise it was replaced with a taco/pizza courtyard that was way over priced and the food was horrible. We paid $12 for 2 tacos!!! No real variety on food choices now without having to leave and drive into PF to find decent food.

We had the queen Murphy room at the stone Hill lodge, which is the building the indoor water park is in. Like the name says, there is a queen Murphy bed and a sofa bed that's about full size. This room has the full kitchen and no balcony. 3 of us stayed here, and it was pretty tight trying to get from one area of the room to the next. As always, our stay was fun, with no issues. I can't wait to come back when the updates are finished!

My family and I traveled 14 hours to support a family member in a sports event which was held in this location. My mom paid over $700 for two nights just to be harassed multiple times by the workers who were trying to sell us things like timeshares. They even called our room and we were bothered about 6 times in the 2 days that we were there. The room we stayed in itself was disgusting. There was hair on the shower wall, it smelled awful, there were barely any outlets, it was dark and cold, when we got in the room the temperature was set to 60 degrees Fahrenheit. When we got under the blankets the bed felt damp and the bed was extremely hard. Not to mention the leaking shower that would constantly be dripping and the flickering light that would take a few seconds to fully turn on. At the very end when we were packing up for our checkout which was at 11:00 a.m. , room service bothered us multiple times before we even checked out. The room service workers opened the door while my sister was changing. Then when we were leaving we saw the same thing happen to someone else, they do not make themselves known or at least if they try they don’t make themselves known enough to the point where you can’t even hear them knock so then they just open the door while people are still in the room. We are so happy that we got to see our family but our stay at this resort continued to get worse and worse and I am furious for my mom because she spent hundreds of dollars to come to this resort and was repaid with absolute trash and harassment and we traveled 14 hours to be there. This place is money hungry and disgusting and I will warn my friends and family to never go to this resort and we certainly will never be coming back.

This was probably one of the best vacations I’ve ever had the hotel was beautiful along with the other three every single day we would take a shuttle bus and go over to the big hotel with the waterslide and the arcade. Even in that building they had little shops, which were very convenient for when I got bored, this place is crazy kid friendly and they love everybody who comes in. I didn’t meet one rude person. There is a beautiful light show that they have. If you want to talk about the rooms they were very nice they would see and if you had a lot of people, you could buy a room to go beside it, which is very nice And this place was awesome. I loved it so much totally recommended and I have to drive eight hours and it was totally worth it.

It was great. The rooms were clean and nice when we came in, and it has one of the best indoor waterparks I've ever been in. I enjoyed my stay. I would like to note that some room's windows weren't really windows because they had a curtain or cover of some sort on the outside, so only sunlight was let in, and you couldn't look out.

Great place for a family! This is a great place for families with children. We loved it! Lots to do and the people that work here are great! Can’t say how happy I am with this place and being a great place for my family to enjoy. I highly recommend this place to anyone with kids. They are very accommodating to adults also. I hope we get to come back and I hope this place keeps up the good work.

Absolutely terrible. We had a two night stay and thankful it was only two nights. We were so excited after researching the website and looking at the hours of everything there we wanted to stay at the resort and not leave but that wasn't the case. Upon arrival we were told the rooftop bar and pool would be closed and that should have been our sign being that it's brand new. We had plans of what we were going to do and what we were going to eat according to the online menus that were completely misleading. We planned to have a steak night at the firefly grill one night did they have steak? Nope. Their menu consisted of a couple appetizers and a couple salads nothing like the menu online. So we went to the deli did they have what was on there menu also no. So then we went upstairs was gonna do the tacos didn't have those either and wasn't open like the website hours were. We ended up having to leave the resort both days just to find food because they had nothing or were closed when the website stated they would be open. Beyond disappointed by the stay and will not be back nor would recommend to any of our friends that were planning on staying. Our room was decent minus the fact the fridge leaked all in the floor and our sink didn't drain. All in all just skip this resort and save money and go elsewhere!

We had a wonderful time. I am very appreciative of the young lady at the Starbucks who took the time to show me the gluten free menu. All of the staff at the resort was very friendly, lifeguards very attentive and alert. The new lazy river is wonderful., the music was very cool! Clean, comfy rooms. Quick room service. Overall very pleased will be back!

Very fun place! Wish there were more food options - there were only milkshakes and pizza available and the pizza was very bland. Great for younger kids but maybe needs some more intense slides/activities for teens/young adults. The giant funnel slide was fantastic! I did think the frozen yogurt place inside the hotel was super cool, though, but we did not stay overnight, just came for the day, so food was much more limited.

Overall such a fun stay! The best part was definitely Tina at the front desk. She went absolutely above and beyond for my family and our stay. She is definitely a gem and such a hard working, amazing woman. So glad we got to meet her. The rooms were very large and the waterpark was amazing. 10/10 experience. Can't wait to go back!

Our stay is always awesome. The staff is great and its always so clean! Our kids love this place we try to go once a year. The added soaky passes at certain times is a great bonus. And being able to play at the Waterparks before and after check in is even better! Highly recommended to go and try it out!

My friend and I had a girls getaway. Courtney at the front desk set us up in the best room we could've asked for on our budget. Amazing girl, BTW. The park was awesome. Missed our on the opening of the roof top, but that will be for next time. The morning staff at the grill was a delightful experience. I'm glad to see the lifeguards to be very helpful and fun. Will return again with family to explore more.

This was first time at Wilderness. We booked a handicapped accessible room because we took my 98 year old mother. I was hoping for a walk-in shower but it was a regular tub/shower combo with a bathtub stool, grab-bar and a sink you could roll under. She was not able to get up in the tub because it was pretty high. I was a little disappointed with that. Other than that the room was comfy and clean. Also we asked at check in to be moved closer to family and they could not, would not accommodate us. When we go back again we will talk to a representative when we book so this can happen.

The beds are so hard! My kids were even complaining. They actually said the pull out couch bed was more comfortable than the actual beds. I asked for a mattress topper but they stated they did not have any of those and all their beds are the same. My kids did enjoy the pool, slides and arcade. It would be a fantastic place if they had softer beds. And the elevator at stone hill that only goes to the 1st floor was terrible, they need better access to the rooms on the 1st and 2nd floors.

We stayed here for my son's 14th birthday. Had a good time in the wave pool. The slides were pretty exciting but the five story climb to use them was more than I was interested in doing more than twice. You need to bring A LOT of extra money. We got three cheeseburgers and some bowling alley nachos for eighty dollars. Drinks from the machines are $3.50, they don't take cards or any bill larger than a one, and the staff isn't friendly about making change. It seemed like they were all about gouging you when you had no options, like bringing your own water bottles.

Sensory overload! I might have checked in during one of their busiest weekends of the year, President’s Day weekend on a Sunday. The lodging checkin was snaked throughout the lobby and after talking to staff it was like that starting on Thursday night. I reserved one of their premier double suites. They said it sleeps 15 but that includes couple pull out couches and Murphy bed with 4 queens and a twin bunk bed. The room itself was nice and plenty of room to spread out but thin walls. ASK for top floor as it seems most kids run like elephants down halls all hours of day. Also if you’re going in winter/indoor pool then request for room closest to pool. These hallways are like Vegas hotels 100+ yards long! Lots of walking. The indoor water park just added a water coaster and lazy river to their many slides, wave pool, water playground and hot tub. Great family fun in the winter for sure! Don’t forget the arcade and game area for another spot to let loose while dry!

Stayed Here with my brother and his faimly. I slept on the pull out sofa bed in room 11026 on 5/19-5/20. Unfortunately I woke up with bites on my legs, stomach and groin area. After close examination, I found multiple bed bugs on my body. One of my stomach and one on my inner thigh.The rooms were decent and affordable. Great to have access to the water park and local attractions. I enjoyed the stay, Just not happy with being feasted on while I slept, and having to pick bugs off me the next day.

This place is a great experience and I only give it 3 stars based on my personal preferences. If you are into Titanic history you will love this place. If you've seen the movie with Leo D. you will be able to relate a lot of the movie to the exhibits. Otherwise its a museum so there's stuff and things to look at and read which may be boring for some. They do give everyone a complimentary audio device to add to the experience in places throughout which allows a kid friendly version too. However if you're on the fence about bringing little kids I'd say wait until they are 8 and older. There are several very cool displays and original items. No photos are allowed at all on the first level. Tickets DO sell out so do reserve in advance, although we managed to purchase same day tix hours before. It was VERY crowded so pack your patience and expect to get in lots of short shuffling steps. If you are claustrophobic this is not the place for you. Overall the exhibit does a great job of memorializing the passengers who died and showing the scale of the ship and its luxury.

Had a great time here! It is a self guided tour with a little audio device to explain parts of the museum more which was nice. An employee did give a small presentation at the beginning of the tour and that was a nice treat as well. It wasn't too crowded when we went and we spent a couple of hours there. They have some artifacts and a lot of great photos to check out. You can only take pictures on the second floor of the tour. It was also 98% handicap accessible. My mom is a full time wheel chair user and the accessibility was great. The whole experience was awesome!

I've been to some of the traveling exhibitions, and they're always worth going to, but THIS one is the supreme! It was quite moving, very educational, and they seem to put a more personal touch on the experience, telling so many stories of the passengers and crew, you almost feel like you know them. It's kid-friendly, they even have interactive aspects and an audio tour just for them, and there's a whole area of fun learning tools and a HUGE Lego replica of the ship itself. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly, and there are many opportunities to take photos throughout the exhibit. Ticket prices are cheaper than some other things you can do in the area, and it would make for a great hiding-from-the-rain spot!

Such an interesting museum, you get a name of a passenger and through out the museum you see fun little facts about the passengers and their classes/rooms. It’s a guided tour, no photos allowed until after a certain area but that’s okay because it’s really enjoyable like this. I do recommend you buy tickets in advance as they sell out quickly when we arrived at 930AM we weren’t able to go in until the 7PM reservation. We were okay with this, but not a lot of people are aware.

Very well done interactive museum for both young adults and adults. Self guided pace to view each exhibit. The museum units visitors with those that were aboard the ship. You are able to stand aboard the deck, see the staterooms of all classes, feel the freezing water and sit inside a lifeboat. Gift shop was reasonably priced. Staff were well dressed and helpful.

The experience was great you get to see and some what feel how the people on the ship felt and did! There is some historical stuff and bits and pieces from the original Titanic!Everything was well kept and well organized!Parking was free and the atmosphere was as we were boarding the ship ! They made you feel as if you were there! Most of what we saw was as close as it can get to the original design! Well worth it, expect to spend at least 2 hours there! Photography is not allowed in most areas of the touring but they allow some photos to be taken in one area!

You have to get your tickets in advance and choose your time slot. We went here on a Tuesday at 10am. It wasn't very busy and we didn't have to wait in line to get in.I thought it was pretty cool they give you a ticket and you get to be a person from the actual ship. It's a self guided audio tour so you look for numbers in the museum and put them into your audio tour device. They also have a youth audio tour which is designed for children. My kids are 8 and 6. The 8 year old enjoyed it more than the 6 year old but every child is different.There's a lot to look at and read. You are not allowed to take pictures downstairs but after the grand staircase you can take pictures just remember to not use flash.All in all it was a great museum, very informative. The only thing I was missing were more things they actually found from the Titanic, like silverware or other personal things from the passengers.This museum is definitely for everyone who is interested in the Titanic and wants to learn more about it.

Please add an adults only option for your tours. It was absolute madness and I do not recommend going during times where children will be running around and screaming.The museum itself was really cool! I enjoyed the self guided tour and all the exhibits

This was a pretty good experience that wasn't too crowded even though it was a Saturday. We bought our tickets online through agoda which saved us some money. I found it kind of odd that they don't let you take pictures on the first floor. We almost didn't go due to the negative reviews but my husband talked me into going anyway and I'm glad we went. Lots of cool artifacts, information and lots of photographs. I thought it kind of morbid to purchase any souvenirs seeing as there were so many people that died...

This is a really nice museum, and we recommend getting tickets in advance. There was barely a wait when we scheduled our time. We were really impressed with how it moves through. They give each person a boarding card with your passenger's name and information, and you must look for any info throughout and at the end for that person. They also give each person a handheld listening device that is really nice. The kids will also have an interactive tour alongside you as you move throughout the museum.

This was a great museum to visit. There were loads of neat artifacts, tons of information and the personal touch of each visitor getting a real passenger on their "boarding pass." It was a coincidence that me and my boyfriend got husband and wife passengers! Even kids can enjoy this museum, as they have their own self guided tour as well. Highly recommend, especially this time of year while they are decorated for Christmas!

This museum was great! The staff were dressed in period attire, there were genuine artifacts from the wreckage, and many thoughtful recreations. The tour includes an audio guide that will lead you through the facilities without staff, which is a nice touch and allows self pacing.The site recommends buying tickets in advance and we found this a solid recommendation. They were very busy when we arrived and we had bought tickets in advance. If we had not, I don't believe we would have got in.The only thing preventing this museum from being a five star attraction was the crowds and pictures. You're not able to take pictures until over halfway into the museum and I found it disappointing. I'm not sure the point of this as all items that are from the wreckage are well protected, and you were allowed to take pictures of genuine items later. This leads me to believe it is to keep people moving, which goes into the next set back.This place was very busy. We had a hard time seeing some of the exhibits due to the amount of people they let in at one time. A lot of the museum was spent standing and waiting for our turn to look at stuff. There were many items that I just gave up on reading or taking photos of because there was a constant stream of people that lacked self awareness. They are already taking the time to limit entrance, and for such a small area, I think they should consider reducing this further to give guests a better experience. We went at 11 on a Tuesday, so I'm really not sure what else could be done to avoid the rush.All and all, very fun and educational. The facilities are beautiful and fun! Be prepared for large crowds and purchase tickets in advance to secure your spot.

I would totally recommend. My family enjoyed the cleanliness of the museum. Everything was well organized. The staff when entering was welcoming. This is a self-guided tour however there is an audio device that provides additional information. At various location throughout the museum there are several tour guides providing information.

The museum has a lot of history and a lot of facts, however it should have be more fun. After an hour it gets monotone with all the information and the way it is presented. It could be more interactive.I liked that the entrance to the museum was going up the stairs. That was neat. I also enjoyed the section where you can feel the 28 degrees water. Also the actual replica of the ship was amazing to see from the outside.Overall the museum was alright. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Lots of fascination with the titanic, I really enjoyed this museum. They had it somewhat modeled after the real ship which was cool, nice to take a picture on the grand staircase. They give you boarding passes of real passengers so it was neat to check the memorial wall to see if we survived and then to go on and see what happened to us afterwards. Lots of interactive things and facts, good amount of actual artifacts from the real ship which was very cool. Would definitely recommend, I would say buy your tickets ahead of time as we got there expecting to just go in and had to purchase tickets to board and had to wait, it would have been at least two hours but we chose a later time and went and did other things while we waited.

When we reached the museum, it was closed. But the visitor center was opened. The museum is one of the largest permanent collections of Titanic artifacts and memorabilia. The visitor center also has a few collections. You can also enjoy the museum from the outside since it is lit up even after the closing hours. Next time we will definitely make time to visit the museum.

This was a great interactive museum for all ages. The audio tour aspect was. Major bonus. I loved the informational stories and the museums commitment to providing opportunities to people with disabilities. The staff was very friendly and well informed. I would definitely come back again.

We had a great experience with the Titanic Museum. I love how they hand you a card with a passenger that actually road on the Titanic. You travel through the floors with a phone recorder that can play certain areas marked with a number. The recorder plays the historical timeline and or interview of survivors or historians. In the end you can find your passengers name on a wall of survivors or those who perished. This was a remarkable way to remember this historic point in time. The facility was clean. The staff were helpful and polite. Very courteous staff.

I have always wanted to visit the Titanic Museum. And our family went on a mini vacation and stop by. It was amazing. We bought our tickets ahead of time for in the morning and there was no line. Each person got their name of a real person on the Titanic. At the end we find out if we survived or perished. Seeing all the artifacts and just all the pictures just hit really close to me. I recommend going.

The Museum should be called"Titanic and Olympic Museum." Many of the artifacts displayed are from the Olympic. Wish they had a replica of the Grand Staircase. My kids and wife had a great experience. The staff is very nice. 100% recommend.

This is my third Titanic Artifact Exhibit and I would have to say, it is the best of the 3. Having the interactive personal speakers made the experience more personal and meaningful. The kids even had there very own unique experience with their speakers.

This place was absolutely amazing, IInformative, and sobering to see how many lives were lost in the tragic sinking of this ship. So many amazing pieces of history from the actual titanic, and a very historically informing tour. My kids also found it very interesting and enlightening and asked many questions during and after about what happened. I highly recommend bringing your family here to learn about this historical event in our history.

A really cool semi-immersion experience, staff are great and in character! Certain rooms and halls are built to scale so you can experience how crammed the 3rd class quarters really were. There’s a ton of audio guided info in each room, and you can stay as long as you need in each room without feeling rushed. Wheelchair accessible!!

Everything was so fun and interactive. Lots of history and fun facts to learn about the passengers. I absolutely love the fact that they give you a card of a passenger to see if you survived at the end. Highly recommend we had a blast 😀

Awesome museum with so much to learn about and look at. The entire staff was so friendly and informative, they really added to the whole experience and are so passionate about the Titanic. We ordered our tickets online in advance and went on a Saturday morning. By the time we got out, the parking lot was full so I’d recommend buying in advance to reserve a spot just in case.We also tried the new Titanic Frozen Custard shop. Again, amazing and kind staff. A guy (I wish I got his name) let us sample a new lemon zest treat he was working on and it was SO delicious that I wish I lived locally to stop by and get some all the time. Very cute shop and a great addition to the museum.We enjoyed the whole Titanic experience and highly recommend visiting!

Absolutely loved this. You will not be disappointed. If you are a history buff like me. This is great. You walk through self guided tour. I do however felt at times overwhelmed with others around as I get lost in the reading and listening. Feel at times you are in someone’s way. The experience however takes you back. The piano room is my favorite. Beautifully done.

We enjoyed visiting the Titanic museum. I bought tickets online two days before visiting, I still waited in line for 35 minutes. I was given a boarding pass ( duplicate) of someone that was actually on the Titanic, everyone was, this was interesting at the end there was a memorial wall my person gave up her seat on the lifeboat to a mother & child. My person drowned. No pictures on the first floor. Pictures are allowed upstairs.There were many items that were actually on the Titanic, and their value. So many interesting things, well worth the money spent on a ticket. I would recommend it for the entire family. Clean restrooms. Wheelchair accessible. Large parking lot with free parking.

Very educational and hands-on. Lots of legitimate artifacts and well written history behind them. It is a great place for adults and kids. You will learn new things about the Titanic you probably didn't know before. It also brings a sense of somberness and gravity to what really happened that fateful night outside of the Hollywood depictions.The audio tour guide is a great way to keep the kids entertained.It is a timed event and helps if you buy tickets in advance. It takes about an hour and a half to complete. Very long and worth the money, it can be a little narrow and take a while if there are crowds.There are no photos or videos until the top floor and phones must be on silent. While it is an entertainment venue, there is an implication to keep behavior respectful in honor of the victims' memorials throughout the venue. It's a fun thing to do if you're looking for recommendations.A large gift shop with lots to choose from is there to end your visit.

Nice museum. It's on the pricey side for the displays. You have your own prerecorded device which tells you about some of the displays. No wait. Get a 2$each coupon out of the many coupon books on displays around town

If you are visiting Pigeon Forge this is a MUST See!! 3 floors of History! I couldn't help, but get emotional looking at some of the exhibits. Absolutely beautiful museum!! Wonderful to be able to experience with my family.

What a great place for the family. Excellent top notch stores, restaurants and rides. Very clean and I feel very safe here. The parking is not ideal true, but it also makes it feel more like visiting a theme park than just going to an outdoor mall. Highly recommend!

Nice place to walk around, dine, and shop! This area is very congested, so come with patience. I loved that you could park your car and catch the public tram for free. The water fountain shows were beautiful. I definitely loved the vibe at night with all the lights, smells, music. All around a happy place to explore!

This was a fun area to walk around and explore shops and restaurants. The mirror maze was supper fun and affordable with adult tickets only being $15 a person. The ferris wheel was also decently priced at $15 per adult and we were able to go around 4 times. Overall a fun place to explore and the free parking was also a great bonus! 🎡

Great place to hang out in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Lots of good food, shops and a little bit of everything for young and old. Also very relaxing to watch the fountain that is timed hourly with music. The local bands at Smoky Mountain Moonshine are wonderful to listen to also. Overall just a great place to be day or night!!

It's nice to just be able to sit and relax while watching the fountain at Pigeon Forge after a long day of walking.Nice restaurants around.Be prepared to walk if you are in a hurry to return to your car. I think they only have one tram running to and from the free parking lot.It's best to go at night to see all the lights!

Tourist trap with a bunch of miscellaneous stores, odd attractions (Alcatraz!?), and some chain food spots. There is a HUGE parking lot in the back that still seems to fill up enough that it feels like you're walking to another town before you get there. Interesting to take a look if you've never been there before.

If you like lots of fun shops, various food venues from sit down to carry out, bars, distillery, winery, rides, and a giant Ferris wheel, then this place is a must stop. They feature shuttle service from parking lot too. You could easily spend a whole afternoon here!

Meet your country version of Broadway at the Beach for those who have been to Myrtle Beach, SC. You will find most of the beloved attractions here at this location with the majority of the same shops and dining venues. Family friendly with a great water show and spectacular views. The Island is a welcoming attraction for anyone of any age.

This is a beautiful inexpensive convenient place for a family with small children!! We entered during the day and left at night. They have a water show in the beginning of the park with rocking chairs all around. They have many store around the water and throughout the park. It’s not to big or to small! We had a group of 10 from ages 1-70 and all of us were entertained in so many ways!! We all did The Wheel and left so happy!

Super fun place to bring the entire family. You can hang out here and not go anywhere elseIf you don’t want to. There are so many things to do all in one place. Stay at the Margaritaville Hotel on site, and you literally be an elevator ride away from all the action. We stayed on in a room with a view of the river, but I wished we had a view of the village, so we could people watch. But it was still nice. I’d recommend the river view for people who want more quiet and privacy on the balcony.

Pros: free parking, can walk or take trolley, nice water display, nicer shops not all the tacky tourist shops like the main strip, ole Smokey and winery were nice.Cons: very rude staff from buying to tickets to the rides and most the stores. Took my toddler on the little tykes rope course and the worker was very rude and not gentle or kind with him. An absolute must!! Such a sight to see. It's almost hard to put into words. Be prepared during the hot months though. Filled with tons of exciting attractions for all of the family!! Recommended by some locals: Fly: Soar America was the best experience!! THAT STOLE MY HEART right away. A truly one of a kind experience. I will not give away the details, if you want to know please go!! Many available shops, boutiques, and snacks, eateries and some bars to enjoy some co*cktails and atmosphere.

Good place to visit. After parking, you can either walk (which isn't far, depending on WHERE you park) or take the tram which picks up at the designated spots at each parking section. Plenty of shops, restaurants and attractions...a little something for everyone. We got candy, cookies, beef jerky, moonshine and a few souvenirs. Paid $15 to ride the Wheel then headed to Dude's Daiquiris for a drink!

Fun visit. Beautiful day. Not overly busy. Enjoyed the shops and sights. They are down quite a few drivers for the tram (the employee said they were down 30!) But they were doing their best. Lots of stuff to do that could fill a good portion of your day. We spent some time in the arcade, watched the fountain show, window shopped, etc. I would say no 'wait' once we got inside, but we did have to wait about 15 minutes for the tram because there was also a convention going on this weekend.

The island is composed of several shops and restaurants, lots of Kids Activities.you can eat at Paula Dean's family kitchen. Which we did, family style serving. We tried the barbecued pulled pork and the pot roast, which was absolutely delicious. We sat by the water fountains for several minutes and then stayed till dark. And the water fountain was beautiful with the colors and dancing to the music.

This was a really nice place! It was fun and live. The music was so cool and the rides were fun. It is a family fun place. I would recommend it if you are in the area. The food was so good too.

Kids and adults could spend the entire day without getting bored. The Wheel and water show are beautiful at night! You can easily find coupons for some of the rides if you don't buy an all-day band.

We loved The Island in Pigeon Forge. Our kids (10, 9, and 3) had an absolute blast. We spent the entire day there, which was great value for money. We purchased the unlimited pass for the kids, which are actually good for 2 days. We didn't go back again because we had prior plans, but if we knew in advance, we would definitely have done 2 days because the kids had so much fun.

Every 30 minutes the water fountain go in rhythm with songs playing and is really fun to watch after dark when all the fountains are lit up. There are a veriety of shops and restaurant around the island with a ole smokey there as well . The island was free to enter and There is a huge parking lot with free parking with shuttle busses that will run people around if you do not feel like walking I don't think it cost anything but I did not ride the shuttle as it was only a couple hundred yards to island from where I was parked.

We had fun visiting the area and enjoying the scenery. It is a nice place to visit and spend time with the your family. There is a good variety of places around the area within walking distance. The shops include candy stores, may different types of gift shops, restaurants, bars, and an arcade. There is plenty of parking but its about 5-10 minutes to walk depending on how packed the parking lot is. But there is a trolley that runs regularly to take you back and forth. The ferris wheel was very fun and you get a good view from the top.

A must experience to feel the energy and experience that the Island has to offer. The dancing water fountain and the variety shops are a plus to the attraction of the Island. Great people, relaxing and free to visit year around.

If you're there for the rides, they are for kids mostly and not adults at all. There are lots of booze places and bars all around you, and the rides are for kids. Not sure how they came up with this percentage but they need a few adult rides. A nice large coster over the area and maybe stretching past the parking lot for us big kids would be nice. We ended up staying at the island but left for the multiple hill coasters around town because there is nothing right at the Island. I would recommend maybe staying a night at the island and then go some place and enjoying the other sites if your adults.

In a general sense, I do love it here - I love the fountain and the music and the lights, and there's a lot to do. The Winterfest light trail starts from here and there is tons of free parking. But in winter, everything closes really early, by 7 or 8 it seemed. Maybe even earlier for some of the outdoor attractions. Operating hours on google can't be trusted.

First time going and let me tell you what, it was great!!! ALL the roller-coasters were great. We even rode some of them twice. That is also how fast the staff at Dollywood is working to get people on rides. The staff is also so helpful if you need help finding food or a ride. We loved this place so much that we are going back for a second day. I would definitely recommend that you come here whether you have kids or not.

This was such a cute amusem*nt park! The rides were fun for the whole family, food was fantastic, and there was plenty of other attractions to keep you busy! The lines were relatively short, and after getting rained out we had no wait at all. All of the staff members were so friendly and I cannot wait to go again!

This was a visit I won't soon forget.At Mountain Blown Glass you can make your own ornament for a lasting memory.Definitely recommend people to visit.If you go make sure to stop at the Grist Mill and pick up some hot cinnamon bread@This is the ONLY park I have ever visited that sings the national anthem when they open!That alone is worth five stars.I would give them more just for that if possible!

My first time here! Excellent time! I loved the shoes and the roller coasters! The water rides were wetter than expected, but that's all the fun! Free refills with a souvenir cup purchase. Locker rental for the day is only $12 and you can transfer your locker from one location to another multiple times. We went in early spring with no wait times on the rides, but a Time Saver Pass is available (we had one but only used it once). I recommend it for busy time of the year. It's a waste of money any other time. We ate at the buffet. It was delicious. We ride the train. Lots of gift shops, thrill rides, kid rides, something for everyone. There's an aviary, and we saw weeks turkeys on the train ride.

I have to say I was truly impressed. My family and I had a great time. My girls are 14 and 17 and they had more fun than they did at Disney. Went in early April which was a great time to go, not too busy, lines were not long. Park was very clean and the food we had was very good and reasonably priced. I'm not very mobile so I bought my mobility scooter and I had no problem getting around the park. The flowers were beautiful.

We arrived at Dollywood on a Tuesday around 10am.We prepaid for parking and the parking lots were full up to lot D, where we Parked. The Tram was the longest thing to wait for but it was clear the staff was moving as fast as they could, and it was organized. Getting into the park after the tram dropped us off took no time at all. We prepaid for tickets and highly recommend you do the same. I screenshot my tickets and they scanned my phone. I picked up a "Happy Birthday" button from a bin right near the maps. I got a map but I used the Dollywood App mostly since it works like google maps and has all ride wait times. Wait times were not too bad most of the day. The park is very walkable and you can go to the lesser wait times and keep an eye out on other rides. The biggest downside really was their credit card machines going down around the park. I recommend bringing cash, I have come to learn it is very helpful to have. All in all though, Dollywood did not disappoint!

One of the best THEME parks. Loved the Harvest Festival with all the pumpkin displays, Halloween decor and music - so much talent and love the music here. Lots of themed food and drinks. The hot cinnamon bread was a treat. Ride the Dollywood Express that circles the park, see Dolly's childhood home replica, escape to a bygone beaut of a place, and ride great themed rides like the Tennessee Tornado and Wild Eagle... the eagle ride really does make you feel like you're soaring!

We had the most amazing time despite the rain. Our children were finally tall enough to ride the big rides and even though that was all they could really do they enjoyed every minute we were there. The shops were adorable and incredible. All of the staff were absolutely wonderful! We were able to be present for the drone show at the end of the night! All in all an excellent time and memories we'll never forget!

This was our first time to visit Dollywood, and it was such a fun experience! Parking was easy. The tram was wonderful. There were so many that we didn't have to wait at all. ALL of the staff were friendly and helpful. ALL of the park was very clean and had tons of places to rest in the shade. We loved the rides! Lighting Rod was our favorite roller coaster. There are tons of places to eat. The hamburger was mediocre for the price. The Nathan's hot dog stand was delicious! Make sure you stay for the drone light show at the end! We've never seen anything like it! We should have planned to be in this park for 2 days so we could have seen the shows as well.

During mid-September, I went with my sister and my autistic nephew, Anthony, to the Dollywood Amusem*nt Park. Although I'm not typically a fan of amusem*nt parks, I thoroughly enjoyed observing Anthony's reactions to the rides and the lively atmosphere. Fortunately, the park wasn't crowded on the day we went, so we didn't have to wait in line for any rides and even got to go on some of them twice. However, the downside was that most of the rides were either geared towards extreme thrill-seekers or very young children, leaving few options in between. The majority of the roller coasters had upside-down loops and were quite bumpy, which may have been enjoyable when we were younger, but not in our 60s. Our personal favorites were the log flumes and river rafts, despite getting wet from the rides. The food choices were typical fair food, expensive and mediocre.

I will start with the only bad thing I experienced. I wish they had more scooter rentals at the front or offered shuttles to the inside rentals. Being handicap has it challenges and renting a scooter shouldn’t be an extra problem.Now, Dollywood is beautiful! It was very clean and decorated wonderfully. We had to stay until dark just to see all the pumpkins lit up. Trying to take pictures of some displays was difficult because people walk right through as you try.We ate at one of the restaurants near the front, the food was good and the wait went fast. We also got a harvest food tasting pass. What a great adventure. It was fun to taste everything fall Dollywood had to offer.We bought season passes to try and come back again for other seasons.

Dollywood is fun for everyone. From the moment you walk in, it's just instantly exciting. It was my daughter's birthday, and they had birthday pins at the front entrance, which made her feel even more special on her big day. We were lucky and went during the fall fest. The pumpkins and fall theme made for such an inviting and warm feeling. We ate at one of the little restaurants, and the service and food were nothing short of amazing. The fried green tomatoes were absolutely delicious! We only went on two rides, but they were so much fun, and the wait wasn't too bad. The shops are so cute and pretty affordable. ALSO, one thing that was huge for us was that they had medicine (Ibuprofen, Tylenol, tummy meds, etc.) for sale at pretty much every shop. It is a lot of walking, but it is totally worth it, and there are a lot of places to stop and rest. We only got a day pass but could definitely have used an extra day or two to explore the entire park. I would highly recommend taking a trip, so many memories to be made here!

We went to Dollywood on Good Friday so it was very busy. We did buy our tickets in advance. I would recommend you do that because the lines for the tickets were extremely long. Definitely a lot of different things to do. We did not do any of the rides had no children with us, so I’m not sure if those lines were long, but there is an app so you can keep track of the wait time. My husband and I did a lot of the shows which were all amazing. Definitely a place for family fun and don’t forget to ride the train 🚂🚂🚂

Beautiful park. Easy access to everything. Friendly hosts. Awesome performances. Everything was very clean. I worked at Walt Disney World for over 22 years, and Dollywood is a much cleaner park. I saw no trash anywhere, bathrooms were spotless. Well done Dolly!

Living one hour from Hershey, PA it's only natural that Hershey Park is my metric for other amusem*nt parks. I've heard about the shows at Dollywood but they weren't showing when we were there. The layout of the park is decent enough but it seemed to be lacking in thrill rides. They have 9 coasters where Hershey has 15. I have no issue with the quality of the rides but when you have less rides the wait times will inevitably rise. Although I will give them props. The pretzels were awesome. 10 bucks a pop but they were huge. At least twice the size of Auntie Anne's. I noticed quite a few booths were empty and there were no open photo booths after the coasters. Maybe the worker shortage or all considered the off season. I had fun but $90 is way too much for what is offered. Hershey is only 55. I downloaded the app called Dollywood and it worked great for the first 1-2 hours but it stopped reporting wait times before lunch which made it hard to plan. Still, as always, you should check out and decide for yourself.

We have annual passes to Dollywood. Each season brings new experiences for all to enjoy at the theme park. This trip, we appreciated the free water to keep us hydrated in the sunny, 90-degree weather. The train ride was fun and provided a nice breeze to cool off and relax. In the evening, the dance parties were a lot of fun. They really drew in the crowd. The fireworks show was beautiful. What made the day stand out was the drone show. I have to say, it was amazing! There were so many drones! The pictures they created in the sky were fabulous! Make sure you add Dollywood to your vacation destination this summer.

We love Dollywood. We are an older couple so the roller coasters are no longer the main attraction for us. We did have to try the new Big Bear Mountain roller coaster, and I think that it was a perfect choice for this area of the park. Because they didn't go crazy with loops and the like. They can allow fairly young (short) kids to enjoy it with the family. It is very long and incredibly smooth and just seemed like the perfect fit for this area. Food is great, Fireworks and Drone show was amazing. All in all a great day in the Smokies!

Typical theme park, but I appreciated the variety of events and rides so that all ages could be satisfied. Not very long lines. Fairly priced kids meals. Kids three and under are free and almost all rides allow shorter kids to ride if they have someone over 14 with them. Drone show was cool and worth long line leaving park after it. Don't leave without trying the cinnamon bread.

We had the most amazing day at Dollywood!! We had our 2 and 4 year old Grandchildren, my 77 year old Mother, and my adult children. There was something for everyone. It was decorated beautifully for Halloween. Entertainment was amazing. There were amazing roller-coasters, and children's rides were great too. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Can't wait to go back!!

I've been to many amusem*nt parks and this one is amazing! Clean, employees are friendly, so much to see. Cinnamon bread is a must, but stop first thing. You can leave to eat or rest, so get a stamp on the way out. Loved the fall displays. The evening was crowded for the fall displays, but still worth it. The food is great, bathrooms are clean, and other patrons were very polite. I didn't ride anything but the atmosphere is unparalleled. I didn't think I could love Dolly anymore, but it happened. Also being surrounded by fall foliage in the mountains was breathtaking. Eagle sanctuary was a nice surprise, also.

Lots of fun rides. Great entertainment for the whole family. Different class rides for all types of people and all ages. Managed wonderfully. Flow of traffic and people is well maintained. Parking is convenient. Security is present and consistent. Lots of shopping, junk food, good restaurants etc. Wonderful experience. Can't wait to come back.

Friendly Employees all over the park. Also helpful if you need anything just ask and they are more than happy to help. The food is pretty good and the refillable souvenir cups are a fantastic deal. Plenty of shows at different schedules so you can see most everything you want to if you plan it out right. We didn’t do any of the rides other than the free fall ride, I can’t remember what it’s called, but it was fun. The park was moderately crowded around 60%. I would say. The ride times we noticed were anywhere from 20 minutes to 65 minutes for some of the popular rides. We went to see the harvest festival, decor, and the pumpkins looked amazing. I wish there were more lights and other areas similar to the way they do Christmas, but overall, it was a great experience. We are season passholders and this was the first time we were able to experience the fall harvest. For the themed seasons, the tasting pass is a great value. For $35-$40 you get to sample five different things in there are both food and drinks to choose from. The drinks are a little less expensive so I would save the tasting pass for the food and just purchase the drinks.

My favorite theme park ever! Wait times were reasonable for rides. Easy to rent an electric scooter. Loved the vibe, rides, and decorations. Parking was easy and the tram was closely accessible. We stayed from 11am-8:30pm and shut down the park! I've been to about 15 different theme parks. This was definitely one of my favorites, top 3!

Super nice people, as soon as you park your vehicle you're greeted and helped with where to go. The parking trolley was a neat little ride into the park, you can also walk. The overall park is very beautiful and clean, lots of flowers everywhere. Very friendly people made it so welcoming to be there. All of the attractions and retro style streets and neighborhoods were so cool to walk through. We were very happy with the whole experience and so glad we got the two day pass...............................................................

Attended the food and flower show. It did not disappoint. Saw a couple shows. Ate lunch at the Front Porch and had a delicious chopped salad. Shopped and browsed several stores. Loved the flower displays! We went on a Tuesday, early May, and it was still a busy place. The eagle aviary is a must see. I have never seen so many eagles in one place.

This is a pretty fun park. They have a lot of rides. If you are a bigger person you may not fit all the coasters. They do have test seats at the entrance to each ride though so that will let you know. They have good food choices and you can get refillable drink and popcorn containers.

We parked very close to tram pick up. Got out of the car tram was there! Got right into the park. Had to go to ride accessibility area. I was in a private room with a knowledgeable staff member which made it quick and easy.The park is very well taken care of. So clean. So many shops, so much food, drinks ice cream.Nice amount of rides for my kids (9) hubby also enjoyed all the big rollercoasters! Great variety for family to enjoy. Staff was all so nice and helpful.It's a wonderful park to visit. Can't wait to go back!

A world class theme park! I wanted to visit for ages and it didn't disappoint!Lost of classic rides as well as some of the best modern roller coaster manufacturers out there. Superb ambiance and lots of dining options!The park is very clean and there's so many workers there to make your experience the best. Truly a must visit!I wouldn't miss their newest ride, Bige Bear Mountain as well as other classics like the old train. Cinnamon bread was so good!

We had a really good time at Dollywood. Yes, it's expensive and parking for $25 a car is ridiculous. The rides are fun,but expect to wait in line an hour or more for each one. They offer a fast pass, but it's an additional $60 a person and you still might have to wait depending on how many other fast pass users are there that day. We only spent one day here and mostly just rode the roller coasters, but there's enough here to spend two full days - especially if you want to catch any shows.

BEST DAY EVER! Our family had a planned day at Dollywood. On the day we planned it RAINED! We went anyway, and it was the best decision we ever made. The staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. Every employee we met was SO warm and helpful no matter the situation. We rode every possible ride with little to no wait time. We ended the day with the BEST funnel cakes were ever tasted. Again, BEST DAY EVER! Thank you, Dolly!

Been a while since I went to an amusem*nt park but this one ranks top 3! Super organized from entrance to exit. They have a helpful free app with maps and wait times for rides. So many high quality coasters. CINNAMON BREAD. Easily walkable. Beautiful scenery. Well done, Dolly!

I really knew nothing about this park prior to going and had low expectations. Now that I have gone I would say it is well worth the visit if you are visiting Tennessee.The rides are well done and very thrilling. You will also find good food and shopping.Prices within the park are reasonable too.

We loved this place! Definitely worth the trip! They have a large play area for the kids and their gift shop is great opportunity to pick up some souvenirs and things for yourself! Ha haThey have a couple of interactive things to do and their penguin encounter is very informative. If you get a chance, don’t miss the mermaids! So graceful! My only complaint (this does not reflect on the establishment) is some forget basic manners. Let’s all be courteous people.

Highly recommend the glass boat tour! It is an extra add on to your ticket, but it was so cool to be above them! They also tell you all about the different sharks and fish that are in the tank! Going through the tunnel was such an amazing experience!There was a diving show in the stingray tank! You can pet and even feed the stingrays! They also have a cute penguin playground!

We had a lot of fun here. We were inside for well over an hour, and you could spend many hours here if you check out everything in great detail. There is lots to do and see. I would definitely recommend to everyone. Fun for kids and adults. We bought the aquarium + 2 attraction tickets online. It was a great deal you basically got another attraction for free considering the aquarium and museum tickets alone cost more than the combo price. Plus you can scan your phone and walk right in, no need to wait in line.

Better than Georgia Aquarium? Not quite. FStill a fantasic aquarium? Yes!Enjoyed it. Especially the jellies. Didn't get to pet ones but we saw a penguin parade. Recommend for families, couples, or even solo.

Family Friendly Fishy Fun!Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies was a great place for a rainy day in the mountains. The exhibits were well laid out and featured plenty of of viewing spaces with children in mind. The shows were educational, but also interactive to keep your focus. The shark tunnel gives you a unique perspective, getting you up close and personal. They also offer opportunities to touch some of the creatures. I recommend making this a stop on your Smoky Mountain adventure.

The exhibits are great! The tanks all looked great! I could sit and watch the majestic sting rays for hours. The walk to and from the parking garage is not for people with bad knees. The city is working on the parking garage closest to the aquarium, and the elevator was not closed. You start at the top floor of parking and it's one way only. We got very lucky and got a spot in very close to handicap as they were all full on a Wednesday afternoon. It's probably a quarter mile unless you can do stairs, that cuts of the 4 handicap ramps that are for wheelchair access. All in all, a great adventure!

Took the family for a school field trip. Had lots of fun. The information about the different creatures was well displayed making it easy to learn. The two different levels to the playground are conveniently located for rest points where the kids could burn off some energy before continuing on. Other features we enjoyed where the shark tunnel, penguin parade, and dive show.Near the end of the aquarium there's a little food court. Prices are high but that was that was be expected. Its $4 just for an order of fries and $3 for a corn dog or hot dog and those where the cheapest items on the menu. Despite the prices the food was good and it was a convention place to stop for a quick bite before the long drive home since we didn't want to stop elsewhere. The whole family enjoyed being able to watch the sting rays in the giant aquarium next to the food court.

My kids had so much fun!!! The drive was long but overall great experience. Their bathrooms need to be checked on more often. They have a really nice changing table for my younger one great play areas for my 5 year old just wish it was more toddler friendly here. Prices are a bit up there but overall friendly staff just wish the interacting with their customers more. The update features of the building are nice just wish I caught one of the shows to have a full experience. But no major complaints would definitely go again.

It was a pretty decent aquarium. Although a tad confusing to walk around towards the end. It had a lot of nice fish and creatures to look at. A good variety. The gift shop store is a little expensive but not bad and has a nice selection. Food wasn't too bad either. There was a mermaid show that the kids were loving. And scuba diving event as well. They have nice explanations and interactive stuff that is great. There is also a boat that takes you out for a small bit to look at the creatures in the tank through bottomless glass. And they gave good information on the creatures in the tank. I'm not a big fan of aquariums, but my family loved it.

Despite being pricey at nearly $50.00 for a adult, what a great Aquarium, the exhibits were set up and spaced nicely so that you could take your time at the ones you wanted to and not be in the way of other families.Alot of different play areas, a hands on and touch exhibit and a nice cafe as well.Especially enjoyed the moving floor through the shark tank area where you could see everything swimming all around you, even above you.

We were there for a birthday party for our granddaughter. This place is absolutely awesome. The staff is very accommodating very friendly I have never met anybody in this aquarium that is not polite and helpful. The animals and the place seems to be taken care of very well. And my granddaughter had an absolutely wonderful birthday party which was just fantastic.

Enjoyed this experience with my wife and daughter as part of our Christmas getaway this year. They had festive music playing, and the perfect inside temperature was welcoming from the brisk air outside. To be in such a tight area, they have a wide variety of species to observe. Lot's of interactive displays for families to enjoy. Do be prepared for a slightly pricey concession, but that goes for everything in Gatlinburg really. Thank you Ripley's for showing us some cool sea life. We had a great time!

I wasn't sure what to expect going in but after entering I was pleasantly surprised. There is a nice variety of marine life. And the penguin parade was just adorable. And there is a tunnel under the main aquarium with a moving walkway that took you through it which was nice.

We went to the aquarium yesterday and I have been a few times before we do not live that far away. To my surprise, it was not like our other visits at all. The water was very dirty yesterday which was surprising to me because every other time it has been absolutely beautiful. Also I had never noticed before that several areas had a bad odor also seems to me that some of the lights were out. The large play area I feel takes away from the aquarium, kids seem to want to go play there instead of looking at everything else. Everyone there was very nice and the kids love that you could touch the stingrays.

Awesome aquarium and very military friendly :) I’m not one to seek out a discount, but I’m always appreciative when it’s given. The aquarium has some excellent enclosures and the animals seem well cared for. The staff is very friendly and attentive in their jobs. Definitely a great spot for the family or anyone who loves aquatic life, there’s so much to see!!!

My kids had a wonderful time here. (4yrs and 6 yrs) The aquiarim is very well designed and run. The exhibits are up to date and nothing is broken or out of order. Although, it's all interconnected and you can explore freely, the museum is designed, so that if you just keep walking forward, you will see it all and can walk straight out through the gift shop without the use of a map. Also, it is a great indoor activity if you need an escape from the weather.There are so many things to see and the exhibits are beautifully executed. My kids went back to revisit their favorites before we left. I believe that the museum is designed to view entirely in 2-3 hours, but we spent about 5 hours and only left because we had dinner reservations. This attraction is well worth the price of admission. I recommend it.

We really enjoyed our school field trip to the aquarium. It was very busy as many schools were there at the same time so it made it a little chaotic, however there was plenty of stuff to do and look at. He really enjoyed getting to touch the sting rays and going into tunnel, watching the sharks swim overhead. So overall great trip!!

The family had a great time. It was absolutely packed and parking for the Aquarium was full but we ate at a place nearby and didn't have to worry about getting towed by parking there and walking 2 blocks to the Aquarium. There are many chances to get a family pic taken by the staff at a put up shack along the Aquarium walking path. There is 1 place to eat and it can be pricey along with all the gift shop items. This shop is huge by the way and you can pretty much find anything in there. We rented a stroller but it's not the greatest stroller but good in a pinch. All in all its a great place to stop for the family.

In the heartland of the Smokey mountains, Ripleys is sandwiched between many businesses and hotels. Even on a Friday the parking lots were full and we paid $20 to park blocks away.$70 for one adult and child. Do not get tickets at the automated register as there is no option for basic admission, aka the cheapest. Employee also had she/her pin on her lanyard which was disappointing to see.Highlights included the adorable penguin walk that happened on the lower level at 1:15 and the underwater tunnel observation area with moving walkway.Facility appeared clean and it wasn't overly crowded. The sharks were a hit with my daughter and there was a big indoor playground that was popular.I would recommend once coming here but we wouldn't return due to the high cost.

Upon arriving we watched the penguin parade as the walked around the aquarium. This was an unexpected surprise. As we were leaving the penguins were being fed and we enjoyed that as well.The coral had the most beautiful colors and I used one of the pictures I took of it as my Screensaver.The staff was helpful. Kind and informative. Altogether a wonderful experience.

The aquarium is amazing! Beautiful, vibrant, tanks are everywhere, with elaborate details and finishes, and the animals seem very well cared for. The underwater tunnel is the best part, and everything is so clean! Some of my favorite creatures are shared a few here, but the pictures really don't do the experience justice.

My family went right after the new Year on a weekday. We showed up at about 9:30 and finished going through all the exhibits at about 11. When we were leaving at 11 the parking lot was packed and there was a line down the road for people trying to get access. There was also a line at the ticket booth of people waiting to get tickets. I would recommend going first thing in the morning, or towards closing, to skip the lines and crowds. Additionally, I had bought our tickets in advance online and got to skip the line altogether, so I highly recommend it! You do not save anything by purchasing in person and your tickets are good for a year from the date of purchase.With that being said, the aquarium itself was fantastic and it is no wonder it was so busy! If you're visiting or traveling even remotely close to this place I would dare to say it is a must visit. We do not have children, and as two adults, we had an absolute blast. The facilities are beautiful, clean, and top of the line. There were so many cool creatures and things to do. There is a touch pool for manta rays, which includes the option to feed them, there is a penguin parade where they bring the penguins out, and there are educational talks. There was also a penguin encounter, which we paid extra for, and was well worth it! It was a group of about 10 people and we got to talk to staff 1 on 1, pet the penguin, and get a great picture (included in the price). This added about another hour onto our visit.Throughout the aquarium there were food facilities and plenty of places to sit. The aquarium also includes eye level exhibits, exhibits you can see from above the water, and even a walk through exhibit that was surprisingly long and included a conveyor belt ride, which is also a novelty.Lastly, when leaving, we got to see the gift shop which has something in the price range for everyone. The shop even includes art done by the penguins, which is pretty unique. We walked away with two items from the shop for a affordable $25.All in all, if you or your family are even the least bit interested in animals or nature, visit. If you're still on the fence, they had a trophy saying they were voted the best aquarium in America in 2018. If you don't go, it is your loss!

Great experience for the kids. It was advertised as the best aquarium in the US. I don't agree, but it's definitely worth the visit. Lots of interactive things. The 🐧🐧🐧 exhibit allows kids to crawl inside for a better view.

This is one of the best aquarium I've been to right behind Chicago's aquarium. We went during Easter and it was jammed packed. But it took us about 1hr to get through. All I can say is I wish I had a better camera so enjoy the pics

Omg I love aquariums. Haven't been since I was a little girl. I prepaid for my tickets and photo with frame very highly recommend. Also if you loose your picture ticket you just gotta remember when you got thereish I have so many pics and videos it was awesome

We really enjoyed the aquarium. The price was fair enough. There is a parking garage behind the aquarium and parking is $10. There were a lot of kids there when we went due to field trips however it didn't really impact our visit, just have to be patient and wait your turn. The staff could be a little more friendly however we still had a good time takes at least 1 hour to go all the way through and that includes stopping briefly for each view of different aquatic life.

Our kids had and us parents had a great time here. I came as a kid probably 20 years ago and was so excited to bring my 3 kiddos now. We highly recommend stopping here on your smokey mountain vacation!

It had been several years since we had visited. We really enjoyed our visit. We watched the dive with the sting rays & the penguin feeding. Those were neat. You can also have the option to touch jelly fish & sting rays which my child loved. I really thought it was great that almost every area had a sign language video for those who needed it. You don't see that many places! The parking garage behind the aquarium is one of the cheapest places to park in the area. It is 10$ whereas almost every other lot is $20. Staff was nice. Restrooms were clean. I do think the ticket price should be more affordable, that is my only complaint!

Best Ripley’s aquarium I have been to. Lots to do with great exhibits and The tunnel in the tank is amazing. Kids playground in the middle is big, you could spend a long time there. Very crowded but manageable.

Worth the money! Tons of exhibits, friendly and helpful staff. The penguins are the best! You get to touch live stingrays without paying extra. It's a great place!

Really good experience! Maybe a little pricey at $40 a ticket, but the Aquarium +2 attractions ends up being a great deal! We spent at least 2 hours or so here. I was nicely surprised at the accessibility of the ASL videos & captions and how few stairs we came across. Learned a lot, saw lots of cool animals, and touched a sting ray! I'd recommend and probably even go again!

My family loved the aquarium this one was so much better than the one we have where we live! The sharks were amazing to see up close along with many other animals! I feel it was a bit pricey for the time you spend there and it doesn't help that you usually have to park a little bit away and pay and walk to the attraction instead of parking there or having parking included in ticket prices.

The touch a ray bay and feeding was the BEST. I wish I'd known it was the last exhibit when following the path. Parking is available in the garage behind. The trolley drops off guests on the side of the building. The aquarium offers a 30% military discount including veterans and immediate family. Must show proof.

This is an awesome experience, the kids had fun the entire time and never asked to leave. We like this aquarium much better than the Chattanooga aquarium. If you find yourself coming to Gatlinburg and have kids make sure you stop by Ripley's aquarium, it will not disappoint!

Was staying in Gatlinburg with the family and decided to go here on day 2. There are pay-for-parking lots across the street as well as a parking garage that's also self-pay. It's a little walk across the busy street to get to the actual entrance. It's a busy area so keep that it mind if you're with kids.Once you arrive at the entrance, there are 2 options. If you paid online, you can get right in line. If you are wanting to pay in person, you have to go to the ticket booth and pay, then get back in line (if you are wanting any kind of discount, like military- you need to pay in person). They offer a 30% military discount, which is great!The line is wheelchair accessible and there are wheelchairs available at guest services, right by the ticket booth.The gift shop is right when you enter and there's a little bit of congestion as you enter, but that gets better as you walk through. A lot to see and explore, beautiful place. We loved the penguin parade. Worth the visit.

Great fun for the whole family. We got to enjoy terrifying ride to the top via skyline. This led to a gorgeous view of the surrounding mountains and the strip. Walking across the bridge was not as terrifying as the lift but it was scary (for those who do not do well with heights). Worth a visit for sure.

I have been on this ride 3 times and never fails to impress me. The ride is so calm, yet provides one of the best views of the smoky ranges. Definitely worth it! The ticket is valid for the whole day, so I would suggest to go there in the morning so you can go again throughout the day if you wish!

What a bridge! What a View! Definitely top 5 things to do in Gatlinburg! We grabbed our tickets and rode up the skylight. My wife is a bit shy with heights so I encouraged her to look out on the horizon. The upper area has a couple options, we went to the small bridge first. While a bit springy I definitely liked the idea of getting used to it first. After we went across the trail and came back across the 600 foot long bridge. The middle had about 50 feet of glass sections where you could see down 140 feet! Loved it! Afterward we grabbed a couple beers up top, grabbed 2 of the 20 or so rocking chairs and watched the sun go down. Because of the mountain ridge we could only see glowing colors on the peaks, not the sun itself, but it was worth the wait. The ride down is easy, but you definitely see how high up you are!

This place is beautiful a must do when visiting Gatlinburg. The view from any spot on the top is beautiful. The bridge is incredible and so cool in the center to see the bottom. They also take your picture before you go to top. Give you ticket you buy online or at the top. Tickets cost 31.95 adult 24.95 senior children 18.95 under 3 free.

Amazing Views!! Not a long wait, bought our tickets online ahead of arrival. Went in July, so a very hot day, and it was nice to get a cold drink and relax in the shade. As said, the views were so beautiful!! Even though there were alot of people it did not matter. It was wonderful!!

Great views! The chairlift to the top was very smooth, and gives good views of the valley on the way down. I was expecting the Sky Bridge and the glass floor to be longer and higher of the ground (I'm guessing it was about 60ft high), but it was still an interesting experience. We bought the photos that they took of us, but I'd like to see higher resolutions.

The view from the top was amazing! It was our first time here and we really enjoyed it. The place got few things to do and the bridge was amazing. The shop and the food was okay and we got to sit there have a quick bit to eat and got some drinks. Will defiantly come back for more.

The bridge was pretty cool. Glass floors in the middle were a neat view. The tower was neat and had some educational info in it. The bridges to the tower were definitely more challenging than the sky bridge. Nice easy walk around the sky trail. The surprise was how good the pizza at the Cafe. Not saying the beat pizza ever. But definitely did not disappoint. I'd eat it again. And again. Fun family trip with a good pizza, who could turn that down.

The ride up was very beautiful...lift ride was smooth. The bridge was my biggest fear... but I conquered it.There is plenty of places to enjoy the bridge without going across it. There's nice restrooms and a gift shop with food and drinks.I would caution though...if you have younger children that challenge rules or your direction. The lift bar pulls down, but it doesn't lock. There is also a gap where you sit depending on your size. I teach preschool, and there are kids in my class that I wouldn't even recommend going on this with.

Beautiful views of Gatlinburg. I was afraid that the bridge would be scary, but aside from some gentle swaying it was fine. The gondola up and down the mountain was almost worth the price on its own.

Great views from the top. Bridge is decent, but the glass tiles in the middle need to be clearer/cleaned for a better experience. Best thing about this are the rocking chairs in combination with some nice winds. A bit expensive. They often close for a while if there is fear of lightning, so plan accordingly.

First moonshine tasting and it was so much fun! We had Abbey and she's was an excellent bartender and very knowledgeable of each tasting and pairing! She was also very entertaining! We got a comedy show, several tastings, and so many laughs! Tasting space was comfortable and clean. The store was beautiful. Excellent experience, we will definitely be back!

Moonshine’s not really my thing but I recommend everyone to stop by here when they’re in the city and try their tastings. The bartenders are all funny and entertaining and they’ll make sure you’re having a great time.

We had such an awesome time here. We weren't able to take the tour because it was closed for maintenance. We did the tasting, which was an amazing value. The shots are small, but they taste amazing. Our server had a great personality and made it such a fun experience. The drinks in the bar are absolutely delicious. The gift shop has a lot of merchandise to choose from.

Let me just tell ya, if you want some shine, go here! Go do the moonshine tasting, it's always a blast. The servers here are the Best! If you have a wait to get in line to get in I will say that the line moves fairly quick and it's so worth it. I can't tell you how many times I've been and it never disappoints. And you never know who you might just run into while your there.

Such an awesome place you have to stop in and do the sampling, it's well worth the five dollars. you have to meet Glover, he's the Best so Awesome. He sure loves his job. I could've stood there all night and listened to Glover talk. I hadn't smiled that much in Avery long time. Thank you, Glover. I love the banana pudding & pecan shine. Can't wait till my next visit.

Abby did a very entertaining and happy tasting presentation. Staff was very cordial and helpful. Tasting fee goes towards fee and you are allowed to stack the tickets. Definitely worth the visit.

Joshua was our bartender this beautiful Sunday afternoon. He was a blast and we had 13 different moonshine to try. Doesn't mean you like each and everyone, but it was a great atmosphere and everyone looked like they were having a great time! They also had a very handy pour spout to be used on these mason jars! Overall a great time😊

I've wanted to visit Sugarland's for a long time, and when my finace and I finally got to go last weekend, I was NOT let down! We did the taste testing with Cody as our "Taste Master," and he was phenomenal. He kept the group engaged, made us laugh the whole time, and was quite the entertainer. What was even cooler, is that after the tasting, you could use your wristband to get $5 off a jar of amazing moonshine! I had an absolute blast and I can't wait to go back!

You pay $5 for a tasting of 12 preselected flavors. Even with a crowd, the experience is fun! Sugarlands has the best organization system in Gatlinburg as they have everyone line up to check your ID, then assign you a bar to taste test. It takes out the uncertainty of waiting around for an open spot at the bar and ensures that the entire bar can experience the drinks at the same time.Their shines are really good, but the creams are even tastier! Their seltzers are also amazing on a hot day.Even better, your $5 tasting gets you $5 in the store for merchandise! Fun experience and good drinking.

This is a must visit. We have so much fun everytime we visit Sugarlands. The staff is knowledgeable and extremely entertaining. Be sure to visit the back room, ask anyone and they will point you in the right direction.

False advertising and the manager that was there that night was a young girl did not care !!!Always loved coming here for the employees that work behind the bar that pours always extremely friendly Cody Rob always make things fun enjoy coming back here when I'm on vacation numerous times but do not like being disrespected by a manager when this sign is clearly stated the price of a product it doesn't state sign they would not honor their price and she talked to me extremely rude I think she should take management classes and she wants to run an establishment I've seen brighter employees at McDonald's as managers Don't think I will be ever coming back here and purchasing products I will find other needs to fulfill the money that I spend when I come up the Gatlinburg it's pretty sad when one person ruins something you enjoy doing !!!

We love Sugarlands, come here twice a year when we are on vacation. Absolutely the best And so is Payton, enjoyed our tasting session with her. We had so much fun doing the tasting here!! I forgot our servers name but he was hilarious and made our experience amazing! He’s the best we had all day in the whole Gatlinburg area. I like how organized they were as well. Tastings are $5 but you get a $5 coupon to spend on anything in the store so it’s essentially free. Their moonshine is also very delicious and they have unique flavors!! We can’t wait to come back!

This was the best moonshine tasting we visited while on holiday in Gatlinburg.The moonshine was delicious, the hosts were hilarious, and I got to meet the famous Payton (who we saw on YouTube and made us want to visit!)It was so good, we paid a second visit for another tasting and to buy more moonshine to bring back with us to the UK.When we run out, we'll just have to fly back and buy more!

We had such an amazing experience at Sugarlands Distilling company! We got a $5 tasting which was absolutely great! We tried 12 kinds of moonshine + 1 bonus shot, and our bartender Steve was really fun. They offer $5 off the jar with the wristband from your tasting which is a pretty good deal. They have lots of flavors, but definitely try dark chocolate and Pina colada. I highly recommend this place!

An excellent distillery when compared to Ole Smokey up the road. Place was more spacious and well organized.They have a co*cktail bar at the end were you can just enjoy their distillery if tasting is not your thing. We ended up going for an Old Fashion made with their own bourbon called Roaming Man and a Moscow mule. Both co*cktails were nicely made. You’ll even get to keep their glass when ordering the Old Fashion.We ended up buying a bottle of their bourbon for $38 to enjoy at our hotel.

Great Tour! We had a fun group experience with the Redneck Bus Tour that stopped here. We all enjoyed free tasting and coupons. Great spirits and views of the distillery in action! Awesome

We did a lot of moonshine tasting when we were in Gatlinburg and Jen by far was the best she was nice. She was knowledgeable and made the tasting a lot more fun. We were able to get the specialty flavors we were looking for and use our coupons because we did the whole moonshine trail with the old smoky locations we got our free T-shirt and the guy that helped us Was really awesome. Jeff just moved here from Las Vegas so you know who you are thank you for a great time and this is a great location. They don’t have any restrooms in the location. You have to take the elevator to go upstairs, but the experience was definitely worth it 10 out of 10 totally recommend this location and ask for Jen. Thank you Jeff!

Southern hospitality at it's finest. The midwest could take a clue from the South. My husband and I have Southern backgrounds and we long to move back South. Tasted most of the flavors. Shots poured for everyone! Everyone was very nice and even met some drinking buddies. We purchased over $400 worth of moonshine and Whiskey. We will be back. This will last for awhile. One of the best parts of our trip! We scheduled ahead and do the behind the scenes tasting tour! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Beyonce;) did our tour and made our time incredibly awesome! She was SUPER knowledgeable, fun, and kind!! It is really neat to see how the moonshine is made and hear about the history and future of the company ! We then had VIP tasting which was super fun- you even get a Tshirt on the way out! The place was clean and organized well!

This is a moonshine store that has taste testing for $5 and a wide variety of flavors. There’s a distillery on-site that’s very interesting. They also have a stage and bluegrass bands perform in the afternoon and evening. The music is free with rocking chairs arranged in front of the stage for anyone to sit in and enjoy the show. We saw 3 different groups and they were all very talented.

Surprisingly great fun. You get a $5 coupon if you do the tasting. There is also a huge Gift shop and live music played outside in a beautifully decorated area.

Ole Smoky Distillery is always a good time. We stopped in this past week while on a girls trip. You have to participate in a tasting, it does not disappoint. The flavors of moonshine are always surprising. The combinations that they come up with are not something you'd think of, such as the lavender blueberry moonshine, which was delicious...mix it with lemonade and Wow!

This place was on my short bucket list and I was not disappointed at all! Made a special trip over there when I was vacationing in North Carolina. Went all out with the Behind the Stills tour (free special tshirt when you do.) Brooklyn (not Beyonce😉) was awesome as our guide! We definitely took advantage of their amazing selection and sales. Got a pack of 12 (2 free bottles) with the large cooler free and got the 3 pack with the free small cooler. I wish I had read the passport before ending vacation and visited all 3 locations for another free shirt. Definitely keeping it on hand next time I'm there, which will hopefully be next year.

Second tasting and had a great time taste testing the moonshines of the day! $5 tasting and the flavors were great, bartenders fun, and comical even through their sales cooler pitch! Minimal wait to get to the bar top, but it was a full bar! Store is huge so many different souvenirs and shines to pick from, everyone is super helpful, and don't forget to use your coupons! Take it all in, throw the tasting back and just have fun!

I would say overall 4.5 stars is where I would put it. The atmosphere is neat with live music outside. The shine tasting is nice but I don't agree with the sign everywhere saying free tasting when it costs you $5 but I understand the city forces that fee and not the establishment. However you do get a $5 coupon for merchandise in the store with the tasting. Overall fun experience I recommend do your shopping before the tasting or you will spend a lot more after you do the tasting lol.

first time here and had the absolute best time. i didn’t fully catch the bartenders name…i think Karima ?? and Felicity? Their friendliness w each-other and how they interacted with customers was so awesome. They were amazing. So kind, funny and informative. The worse experience we had visiting a distillery and believe me, we’ve visited quite a few distilleries, winery and brewery in all our travels around the world.First of all, they have 2 choices for sampling which the bartender did a piss poor job explaining the different except for one had 9 tasting and the other had 11 tasting. Doesn’t take a genius to understand that by paying more you should get more choices. She could have said “with the premium tasting, you’ll get to taste our signature bourbon as well”. I tried to change or upgrade but was refused.Then the bartender tried to explain the very strict tasting rules by yelling. If it was so strict, suggest posting it on the bar and make sure everyone reads it. Cause after 6 tasting, my wife had an emergency as it’s that time of the month, and had to quickly find a restroom. She left while the bartender was trying to sell customers the package set. When the sampling restarted, my wife wasn’t back yet. The bartender said as she left the bar, she forfeited her tasting. Even I wasn’t allowed to finish her drink. When she returned, we had 2 more tasting to finish but the bartender refused to serve my wife claiming it’s the rule.Not sure if this is a state law or rule of the distillery. But to then charge the customer full price for something they didn’t have is a rip off. Imagine someone had to run to take an emergency phone call or go outside quickly to check on their kids. I understand forfeiting that one drink you missed out but then to forfeit the remaining of the course is crazy. Imagine you left just after the second pour. Then you’ll pay $7 for just 1 or 2 very very small sip. Or what if that person has lactose intolerance and can’t drink the last 3 sampling. Why can’t your partner or friend who’s tasting with you and paying as well can’t finish your drink on your behalf?I’m all in for rules but again, if it’s that strict, maybe it clearly visible and post it so everyone can read. Also, was planning to pick up a bottle of their bourbon on the shelf but couldn’t find a single price on the bottle or on the display. As they keep on saying “Hell yeah, I surely won’t return and won’t recommend this place”!!!

Amazing experience! We came from Indy and wanted to try out their testing. The pricing was very affordable and easy way to get some local moonshine in your system. It was $10 for 11 tastings of moonshine. Pretty popular for a Saturday night, and would hands down recommend!

This was a fun activity to do while exploring Gatlinburg. An easy way to go between Ober and downtown (10 minute ride every 20-30 minutes). You get great views. We did this to get lunch after snow tubing. My kids loved the view and mechanics. Not crowded on a weekday in January.

My family and I had a great time here skiing! I would recommend going earlier rather than later so you can ski on the fresh snow. As the day went on it got more icy towards the end, but that’s just the nature of it. The ski lifts were easy to get on and off, and all of the staff were very helpful and nice! Great place to spend the day, we took the tram up and down too and we all really enjoyed that experience.

I was disappointed in every way by this place.First, the good: the view on the tramway itself is good, but not really amazing.Now the bad.The first bad thing, is you can just drive to the location at the top where the tram stops. Nobody tells you that when you get to the top, you really can't see very much. Just a narrow angle, that you have to pay 50 cents to see anything through those big fixed binoculars, that are on the edge of a parking lot. Not even a viewing platform.We thought we might try the ice rink bumper cars. But no ice in the ice rink.So let's go to the lounge. Lounge is closed.Take the scenic chairlift. Not open.And it just goes on. Thank God we didn't pay for the all access pass in advance.It's not that so much of the facility is not working, it's that they don't tell you when you are on the ground, when they try to sell you the passes. At least they offer to let you buy the tram ticket, and then upgrade to the *all access" pass at the top.You can actually drive to the summit of the mountain from Gatlinburg (well above this place)If you want a great view, I would suggest this.

Experiencing the tram 🚊 was the most exciting thing I've ever experienced with my husband. We had a great time!! Must try it. $20 Parking all day, $29.99,+tax ticket price up & down.. runs every 20min. They have additional shopping and really cool activities in the little town.

Took the tram to Amusem*nt park on hill top that has ice bumper cars, ice skating with no time limit where kids had loads of fun. We missed the snow tubing, would recommend anyone to purchase tubing tickets well ahead.

Absolutely - Positively Loved Ober Gatlinburg! Best Calm, fun amusem*nt park in Tennessee. No rushing or extensive wait times. Associates Very friendly and kind. The shops are abundant also food stands. The Leather Shop fantastic choices, Husband got 2-leather belts (fitted) 2-belt buckles (beautiful) I got bracelets! Will absolutely return on our next vacation here from North Carolina!!!

The tram was great and the top was breathtaking and peaceful we sat outside and enjoy the afternoon! Lots of boyscouts were there enjoying it too! They have a indoor skating rink and they have a tubing on ice with lights around the tube this was our second time in 6 years and nice way to enjoy nature!

A One-of-a-kind park in Gatlinburg!This site can be accessed either by taking the tram from the bottom of the mountain or by driving up to the site. There is a large parking lot at the bottom and a small lot at the site. I chose to drive up to the site. The drive is up a mountain road and may not be for nervous drivers. There are several items to see and do at the “mall”. There is a chairlift, icerink, Tram, zoo, shopping, and a toboggan ride. This is a typical ski area in the winter months but during the summer months, when I went, it was summertime. All of the above were open and available to include the restaurants. You can purchase tickets right inside the door as you enter. I tried the chairlift, Tram, and zoo. Both moving rides afford nice views of the mountain. The zoo was very basic but had several bears in the outdoor enclosure and smaller animals in a building off to the side. The toboggan was closed due to rain/lightning in the area so I did not get to try that. The staff was pleasant at each of the different parts (chairlift, shops, tram). Overall, it was a nice place to get some beautiful views from the mountain and do some interesting rides.

Ron was our "guide" on the Tram. We were lucky enough to have him on the ride up and on the ride back down. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining. If you get him as your tram operator, your 10 minute ride will be more enjoyable. "Are you afraid of heights? Too late now!" <Click locks>

Did not know it would be so much fun. We were just taking the tram up and back. There is slot to do at the mountain mall family friend and very fun. A great way to spend time with friends and family.

It was nice my husband and I enjoyed our visit here. The only thing was that we had to pay for snow activities separately, and the Tram was so pack we were literally smelling other people armpit 🤢 and wasn't able to enjoy the view either way.

Was a really nice ride to take to the top of the mountain!!! My wife hates heights and wouldn't ride the ski lifts... but this was no problem.Both tram operators were very engaging and the staff on the upper and lower ends were very friendly and courteous.We just took the tram ride... but there is a rescue zoo there as well as ski lifts to take you higher up.The place even has an ice rink inside!!Great views of Gatlinburg and the surrounding are!!!A MUST DO!!!!

Perfect fall foliage viewing on October 27 2023. It is definitely worth the money. Relaxed trip up the mountain where you get to take your glamour shots with the beautiful 360 view of the blue ridge mountain and the beautiful fall colors. The whole trip is just over an hour round trip.

The lines were insane. 40 mins just to get the worst pizza for the family. 1 hour for the rock climb. The ice skate lady was rude. Honestly a lot of time and money for little in return. If you want to do anything you would do at Ober then just go to a place that does that thing. You want to ice skate. Go to an ice skating rink. You want to rock climb go to a rock climbing place. But you pay a premium to wait an insane amount of time for sub par quality of everything.

My wife and I rode the tram up the mountain on Aug1st 2023 and enjoyed the ride and scenery. Recommend this to anyone in the area visiting. Fun and adventurous and you may catch a glimpse of some wildlife such as bears and a few other critters on the mountain. We took the ride just before sunset and it was gorgeous. Fun things to see and do when you arrive on top. Check it out!

This is the best bookstore I’ve been to in long time. There truly is something for everyone here. The coffee was great too. I had such a great time exploring in Our place, and I can’t wait to come back. The owner was so wonderful and really passionate about the shop and the area. It’s absolutely worth the stop!!

You can easily lose track of time wandering this eclectic and fun bookstore! Really enjoyed grabbing a coffee from the counter and wandering the store. The prices were spot on and the staff as friendly as can be! I can’t wait till they expand their shop! The aisles were narrow and overflowing with books and merchandise so keep your kids’ hands in their pockets. My only complaint is I couldn’t stay longer!

Wow! This is a really, really fun shop. They have extremely interesting books and a wide variety of fun nerdy things, too. We enjoyed their coffee. Their t-shirts are cute. Especially the one with the bear and the mountain backdrop :)

This place is absolutely amazing for book readers. We found so many books from our childhood, new series, and there's all kinds of nic-naks. They also provide coffee that was pretty good. Best book store I've been to! They have so many books it's almost overwhelming. I found books here I read when I was younger that I'd completely forgotten I loved and the books are a great price. I didn't have a chance to try the coffee but it smelled amazing! The only complaint I have is that it's located about 3 hours from where I live lol but I'd consider driving the 3 hours just to visit this place again!

My favorite used book shops are always the slightly chaotic ones. Our Place falls right into that category. Books fill the walls and pile onto the floor which just makes looking for books feel like a treasure hunt. All your standard genres are here and there's a good variety in newer vs older books. There's all sorts of gifts like mugs, children's games, blankets, etc scattered about so you can find something for everyone here. This is the kind of place you can get lost in and really spend some time browsing. It's a must visit if you're a book lover in the area!

absolutely adorable locally owned shop filled to the brim with any book you could want. tons of knick knacks (also some made by other local artists in the area), cute earrings, patches, stickers, bags, t shirts, crystals, etc. but this isn’t like the typical tourist shops you see downtown, you can tell the owners have put their love into this place. don’t overlook this beautiful shop, it’s a lovely atmosphere with friendly people.

This place is amazing! If your looking for a fun place to shop for books or grab a cup of coffee this is it! I can’t tell you how much I regret not stopping when we have passed by all these years. It will definitely be a stop on our way into Gatlinburg from now on. You could look all day and not see all the amazing book titles they carry. Easy parking and easy access to the main highway.

This visitor center is among the best I've ever visited. There's a terrific museum here, showcasing old farm buildings. We were lucky enough to visit when the blacksmith shop was being worked, and our girls got to take home a square nail forged by the ranger. Another treat came in the way of several elk appearing at the visitor center in the afternoon; we got to see two calves, 6 cows, and a bull! What an amazing experience that was! Highly recommended!

This visitor center is the main visitor center for the south side of the park. The interior is fun and filled with souvenirs that kids and families will love. There's a small wooden township just next to it that shows what life was like back in the 1800s. This area is also hugely popular for elk viewing. Just be sure to give them plenty of space.

The first visitor center you will come across on the North Carolina side of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. In the early morning, expect to be greeted by the Elk herd. At this time of the year in late July, there were many does with their calves. The visitor center is close to the Cherokee entrance that also is the end of the Blue Ridge Parkway. At the visitor center, there are many helpful faces. They are able to answer questions about the park and give ideas and insight on how to maximize your experience at the most visited national park in the system. They do have parking machines near the parking lot. For the daily parking, it is $5. The ticket is tied to your automobile license plate.

We love visiting the Oconaluftee Visitor Center and Farm Museum. We enjoy the self guided tour around the old farm the most. They still have chickens running around free range, but haven’t had any hogs there for a long time. I like to read all the plaques every time I go and it never gets old. There are many places to site beside the Oconaluftee River. The sound of the water rushing by is so peaceful.

Absolutely lovely! The volunteers are so sweet here. The park itself is enchanting.The Smoky Mountain National Park has $5 parking passes and free admission... You can get them here, along with maps and stuff.THERE ARE ELK, and they're lovely.

I love this visitor center. We have been a few times. There is a trail there that is one of the only 2 trails in the GSMNP where dogs can go. We used to take our pup there (RIP Lucy), but now we go to see the Elk and walk the trail. Our cat loved it too.

Located in Smoky Mountain national Park Cherokee North Carolina this is a great place to go view elk. It all sounds trails along the river. A cool little settlers village that you can visit. Also if you're all hot tired sweaty and dirty you can take a dip in the River and is very invigorating. Bathrooms and vending machines located here as well. Going to The visitor center proper for some cool swag.

More than just a visitors center. This little stop had a miniature museum filled with information about pioneer living in the Smokey Mountains, a gift shop, a pioneer farm grounds to walk, and, if you're lucky, real wild Elk. This is my 3rd visit to this location since 1977. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. It was a nice break from all the driving.

We just went driving through the smokies traffic was a little backed up due to the fact that some elk were out. We saw 7 it was really cool to be able to capture pics of them . We also walked around the structures they had an apple barn a hog pen and old barn. If your ever in the area you should stop and take a walk around we were also able to see part of the river running behind the property. Pictures don’t do justice

Very nice to place to stop, after driving through the mountain. There are several elk in the area. A beautiful creek runs around the visitor center. Check the visitor center for road conditions and potential closure times, while there. They have a gift shop.

Great selection of souvenirs within, decent prices though we did spend a lot all together. Staff at the visitor center were friendly until we declined to purchase a national park pass, then became excessively rude. Very beautiful visitors center with plenty to do around.

My husband and I love this place! It is a must see to view Elk just roaming around. Sometimes you have to walk a good bit to find them but other times they are all just in the front yard area or on the sides of the roads. We put in like 4 miles or more in 2 days and found tons of them!

Absolutely loved the Ranger led programs! Ranger Smith is a craftsman who shared his broom making skill and totally impressed me! I would take a class with him in a NY minute! Ranger Parker was a knowledgeable and friendly guide on our hike and we were sorry we missed his black smithing demo. They helped make our trip to the Smokies enjoyable!

Went to this visitor center while visiting Great Smoky Mountains National Park in fall 2020.There is a big parking lot in front of the visitor center. There are restrooms too. There is a museum too. This is the visitor center near Blue ridge parkway. This one is in far better condition than the Sugarland one. While going there, we saw a group of elk roaming around.

The village looked great for learning about life long ago. But we couldn't go through the exhibit because our dog was with us. Dogs are allowed on the path but not in the exhibit. So we walked along a great path that went beside the little village and then down to the Oconaluftee River.Beautiful river walk! We went by a bull elk and his herd of cows hidden in a thicket along the path very quietly, mindful of the ranger's warning to keep our distance and that they were dangerous if disturbed or up walkin around. We were 20-25 yards away.We didn't go all the way to the end of the path to the waterfall because of time commitments elsewhere, but we would have loved to spend more time there. We will go back.

The Oconaluftee Visitors Center is a great place to stop. Several comprehensive displays of mountain life are on display. The park rangers are super friendly and very knowledgeable about the local area. They also have several very clean rest rooms and a very nice gift shop.

Visiting center had great great views of park area. We were able to capture pictures of Elk grassing in open fields. There is a long path goes all the way around the park area and along a river. Beautiful sites to take in. Visitors center is clean and well kept. Old homestead buildings to check out and visit. Dog friendly place. Love to go back there. The Elk are everywhere around this place.

It is the gateway to one of the most magnificent and well kept national parks in the USA (Smoky Mountains National Park). If you go between September and early December, you will see elks roaming nearby. Inside the center you will find help if you want to know more about the park and its trails. There is a small store were you can buy many little things including preserves from the area (highly recommended). Restrooms are always clean. You can even walk by the river and enjoy the surrounding nature.

The visitor center was closed when we were there. It does look new and modern. There's plenty of historical buildings behind the visitor center that are very interesting to see. The log home has some of the largest cut logs I've ever seen on a home of that era. Also, a beautiful creek to hang out at. Elk are in the area and were in fields by the visitor center the evening we were there.

Out of the three visitors centers we went to during our trip to GSM National Park in late March, Oconaluftee was my favorite, mainly because it was the least crowded! This is surely because of the distance from the more popular sites in the area, but its definitely worth the drive (which is absolutely beautiful, with a ton of great pull-off areas for photos)!! There was plenty of parking, which was a huge relief after having to loop the other VC parking lots a few dozen times waiting for parking spots to open up. The elk that freely roam the field behind the visitors center were very cool, and we had fun watching a whole herd of them stroll along the road like they owned it 😀 There is a beautiful trail along the river that was somewhat stroller friendly and very low level of difficulty. I highly recommend stopping here when visiting the Smoky mountains!

Beautifully kept. Bathrooms are clean. The entire area is clean. There is a dirt walkway to take your fur baby on and go along the river. Elk came down later, more towards evening.

This is a nice place to visit and see the Elk! We came during spring break and the herd was not all out in the fields yet. We enjoyed seeing them and enjoyed walking down by the river! Make sure you pay for your parking permit and please respect the wildlife!

Nice place to stop an see the Elk. Also to use the restroom. It could have been cleaner. You can also purchase your Parking Pass here at a kiosk. As of February 2024 $5 a day

Absolutely loved this place, parking was a bit difficult but other than that we loved it. we stopped over by the blacksmith cabin and they answered all my kids questions and showed them how it all worked. We will definitely visit again

Beautiful place! Great visitor's center with lovely porch, walking path, and public restrooms! We saw a small herd of elk in the evening!! Perfect!!

The staff was kind, and had some historical artifacts inside as well. The mountain farm was pretty cool, it's a nice walk out back and is next to the river. If you're lucky, you'll get to see the elk.The only bummer we had was the gift shop was closed for 2 days in a row for restocking of inventory.

This was my 1st time visiting Cataloochee Ski area to snowboard and it was awesome. I did a day session and a night session two weeks ago and everything went perfecto.. The night session was a little better since there was no waiting in line for ski lifts vs during the middle of the day on a Holiday weekend it got to a point where some of the lifts it was a 20 to 30 minute wait. I have a cabin that's less than 1 mile from the Ski Area so I cant wait to see you all next year :) I had all of my gear so all I had to do is buy my ski lift passes which was super easy and I was off Snowboarding and ripping up the slopes.

Oh wow! Where do I begin? This was our first time skiing. From the warm welcome to the slopes, Cataloochee Ski Area exceeded our expectations. The smiling faces and helpful staff created a fantastic experience for my family. The camaraderie among the skiers added to the enjoyment and fun. From the moment we arrived, everyone was nice and welcoming. We had a great time. I highly recommend.

I recommend. Buy your tickets online days before and you will have a very comfortable day! Excellent organization compared to other mountains in NC, service divided by squads and short lines. We visited in Jan/16/22 and even with a lot of snow due to the storm, everything worked very well! Thanks Cataloochee team

I took my 8 year daughter for the first time and signed her up for group lessons. She was the only one so got great one-on-one lessons. The instructor Cullen was so helpful and encouraging. He had her on a Blue Diamond within 45 minutes of her first time ever! We were blown away. She had a perfect first experience skiing and much of that is thanks to Cullen. The resort is easy to access and affordable. We love going.

We had a great time for our honeymoon. We both went snowboarding and had lessons. The instructors were awesome Mark and Ryan. They really took the time to help us understand how to snowboard. All in all had a great time. The process was easy. Thank you We will be back

Read the other reviews and felt I should add my own:It’s a nice little ski slope that’s convenient from Atlanta, Greenville and other cities in the southeast. I pulled in around 8am and got a parking spot right up front. It doesn’t look like it at first but there’s a few different lots you can park in past the main building. I preordered my lift ticket online and already had my gear. There was no line at the window at 8:15am and I was the 3rd chair up to the top. Highly recommend doing everything online beforehand as I heard they sold out at some point that day.I’ve seen numerous reviews complaining about long lines to get lift tickets and rentals. Look, if you go to the slopes during peak season and show up at noon with no lift ticket or equipment you’re gonna wait in long lines... And boy were there some lines. Seemed like they really started getting backed up around 11am. By about 2pm the slopes were pretty packed and I decided to call it a day. Overall the snow was decent and I recommend hitting the cat if you’re in the area!Tips: Order your stuff online beforehand, get there early, beat the crowd, have patience and have some fun.

We went on a quiet Thursday. We had repurchase tickets and our rentals and the pickup process was easy and seamless. My husband and oldest did a private ski lesson that they seemed to enjoy. I like that they have two magic carpet slopes for new learners. The weather has clearly not been ideal and by midafternoon it was slushy, but it didn't dampen our enjoyment. I do feel like a busy weekend would have made it feel overcrowded, but we were very pleased with our experience.

We visited the week of Thanksgiving and we were a little nervous based on reviews. I like to give honest reviews to help others because I use a ton of reviews to guide my decisions.We got to the resort very early. The ticketing process is very slow. One line open. Getting equipment was a little ridiculous. I've never seen having to walk to multiple buildings to get equipment, especially having to wait in line multiple times. It did move fairly fast but still annoying.The lift lines were never long, even during peak hours.My kids took lessons to freshen up and they enjoyed them.I was baffled that there was NO outside seating. Very strange!!!The food options were also terrible. The only lunch option was soup or chili, delicious but my small kids were NOT pleased. I understand this was opening week but still...some grab n go options would have been appreciated.Overall, I plan to return..great small ski resort.

This is definitely one of the better ski resorts in west side of NC due to the elevation and terrain parks. There was amateur ski racing going on when I was there as well.pretty cool.i should have signed up would have been a dope FAIL video😆. I have been here multiple times and will be back in the future.try all the ski resorts in NC for a good judgement yourself😉.all kids of folks there too. But do expect to run into a lot of kids and locals.When I was there my last time there was actually some younger adults causing some ruckus,being snowboard DI$&S .letting there ego get the best of them(they got kicked off the lifts).food is better here then at wolfridge definitely,but IT IS WHAT IT IS.we drink,eat just enough,and eat trail snacks anyways on boarding days🤟🏽😉😆.Local enough ..black/latin snowboarder🏂🏽💪🏽

Overall, I had a great experience. When there were lines inside for gear and food, they were extremely short. The lifts had quick lines of a minute or two wait at most. This was my first time snowboarding and I took a private lesson. Dylan, my instructor, was super friendly and taught everything in an easy-to-understand way. I only snowboarded on Beginner’s Luck (that’s where the lesson was given), Easy Way, and Rabbit Hill. The runs were not overcrowded at all and I had tons of room to mess around with. Nobody was being aggressive on the slopes, either. I went on a Tuesday afternoon. The weather was scheduled to be worse than it was. It drizzled lightly a couple of times which did not seem to affect very much. Visibility varied but was never very bad; the worst is shown in the video.

Very over crowded. I would have given it two stars had I not had fun, but I was in a good mood so it wasn’t terrible for me. There is a good amount of parking but back up parking is pretty far away and they have a shuttle there and back. When you get to the lodge, you go through 3 checkpoints to go ski. First you purchase your tickets (buy online ahead of time to decrease chances of being sold out), then you get in line for boots and helmets. We were in line for at least 30 minutes for this step, then we had to get in line for our ski/snowboard rental which was like 15 minutes.After that you go and you’re able to ski but to get to the hills you first have to go on a lift, there’s only one beginner lift and each time we waited in line for it we waited at least 30 minutes (very bad crowds) one reason for this is because they have to stop the lift a bunch because so many people fall at the top of the lift. Employees are very kind and quick to help us off the ground when we fall (will Happen). Slopes get pretty icy near the end of the day and the most crowded time is around 11-1. Gets less crowded around 4ish and I’m sure night skiing is a better option to miss crowds (but snow will be icy and slick).We got here around 11 on a Thursday but didn’t start skiing till 4. Employees are very kind except one man at the boot rental area. I think the processes could be quickened a lot more to reduce crowds. Also a kiddie area with little slant.4 hour pass is plentyBring snacks, lodge food is overpriced and lines there are veryyyyy long, have to wait in whole line just for water bottle (3$)You will probably fall a lot so wear waterproof clothing.Look online for tickets, live cams, etc.Overall I would not return because of extreme lines that are not necessary and you will not find them elsewhere.

Very conveniently located in Maggie Valley. Very safe and fun for the family. Quite crowded but very well run. Delicious on-site Cafe with full liquor bar. Safe and secure property very family friendly. All the equipment you need is rented on site. Night skiing was a lot of fun.

Older and quaint ski area(established in the 60s) with facilities that are in large need of updating. Early season is a bit rough as they only make snow on 3-4 trails so it gets really crowded and somewhat dangerous on the weekends. Despite a peak of 5200' you only have about a 600-700' vertical drop here and the runs are extremely short. Moving at any kind of pace you'll be down to the bottom in about 3 minutes and then have about a 10+ minute ride back up, depending on how many noobies are falling trying to get on the lift that goes to the top where they shouldn't be going yet.Skied this past Saturday and it was downright dangerous at times with the crowds. Throngs of beginners going to the top and then stopping on all sections of the trail clogging it up for anyone trying to get through. Ski patrol had the entire right side of Omigosh tied up with training which made things even more difficult. Trails here are incredibly narrow, which adds to the danger when it's crowded. Saw at least 2-3 people get hurt and taken down off the mountain, and one spot near midstation where there was massive blood splatter all over the snow. If you want to go and you are a more advanced skier, hit it up during midweek so you don't have to deal with the crowds of new skiers on the most difficult trails.Lift passes are a bit overpriced for what you get, $70 for a 4-hour pass with slow lifts. Cafeteria and gift shop are also overpriced, but typical for your average ski slopes. The drive in to this place is also on an unpaved road with some drastic changes in incline so if it's snowing/icy, you will need at least a FWD vehicle. They do have online passes available, where you can bring your QR code and just print your lift ticket at a kiosk instead of waiting in the long line in their small office, so that is one plus. The views off the top of the mountain and while riding the lifts are also pretty great if the weather is clear.This would be a good midweek day trip if you live in GA, TN, NC, or anywhere within 2-3 hours, but just keep in mind if you come on the weekends it's going to be way overcrowded, especially if they don't have any terrain open. I will try to make it back midweek to see if things are any better without the crowds. They do also have some nice "learning" areas and the main green trail is wide and has enough of a slope to get the basics down. Good place for families with kids or new skiers, as long as they realize they shouldn't be heading up to the top of the mountain after 2-3 runs down the learning slope.Edit: 3/11/2024Hit up Cataloochee for a late season day trip and the mountain was in fantastic shape! Great job by the mountain ops team to keep snow on the slopes when it's 60 degrees out! Zero crowds(as I mentioned in prior review, it would probably make a much better midweek trip) on a Monday and overall it was an awesome last day out(for me) for the 2023-24' Mid Atlantic ski season.

Decided at the last minute to drive up from Birmingham and shred for a day. Although it was late season (March) and temps had started melting some snow, I still had a blast…..so much that I decided to upgrade my pass and stayed for the night sesh.This was my first visit, but it won’t be my last. Next time, the whole family is going!

For skiing or snowboarding in the south, this little resort does a great job of curing the itch. They have even updated to an online booking/ticketing system so you’re not left wondering while you drive X hours if your kid will be able to enroll in lessons. I highly recommend you take advantage of the online option to buy lift tickets and schedule your lessons. We always arrive early (8-815am) and the process is very smooth. The later you wait in the day to show up, the more crowded and difficult it becomes to park and get rentals because of the volume of people. We usually get in 8am, ski for a few hours and take off at lunch time 12:30/1 when the resort gets crowded. They also updated their lockers to electronic lockers, which are really nice compared to many outdated places ($5 for a small locker for the day). I’ve been really happy with this little ski area and the improvements they have made over the years and will continue to visit. Their prices are very reasonable, especially if you go during the week. I highly recommend you avoid the weekend rush if you’re able to, to have the best experience!

It was a fantastic experience! We visited on a weekday, and what made it even better was the lack of crowds. I decided to take a snowboarding lesson, and because it was a quiet day, I ended up getting a private coaching session for a very reasonable price of $40. It was a win-win situation for me!

The museum flows so well. They do a great job of sending you back in time to learn about such an amazing culture. My wife is part Cherokee so learning about her heritage and history was always intriguing. Well done.

Great museum but the theater was still down for technical problems, and some of the displays were empty. There were also a few mannequins placed oddly around the halls like they had been removed from an exhibit and just pushed in a corner. Gift shop looks like it needs restocked as well, though the keychains with your name and Cherokee were great. Overall very well done just needs a little TLC.

It was really neat, except they were doing renovations in the main exhibit which was a bummer. Tickets went from $12 to $8, which I feel like it should’ve been $5 because the only exhibit available was small and crowded. Other than that, it was nice and well maintained and I will be coming back eventually hopefully the main room will be finished by then!

It was worth the $12 I spent for an adult ticket. There’s a decent amount of content in this museum, including some real people making crafts in the way the Cherokees did it. Chat with them and they’ll tell you all about what they’re doing.

The museum needs a little love and maintenance, but if more people visit it can have it.It is very important for Cherokee people to tell their own story and they do in this museum. It is not a huge museum but gives an overview of the history of the Cherokee people. It covers culture, history and folklore. It honestly considers Cherokee politics of the 1830s.One topic it could cover better would be Cherokee involvement in slavery and the Cherokee Freedmen.I really appreciated learning more about the Cherokee in their own voice and I hope the museum gets the love it deserves and even expands and adds greater depth. The Cherokee, like all indigenous Americans, are entitled to it.

This is a very well done and informative museum. The exhibits are all very well done and professionally designed. You are bound to learn something new that you never knew before, and there are surprises around every corner.

To say that this place was enjoyable would be an understatement. I learned a great deal as the staff is eager to share their history. Both good and bad. The artwork work and craftsmanship were amazing. I would absolutely positively recommend anyone in the area stop by, ask a few questions and enjoy the interaction with the staff.

Awesome! Had some fascinating exhibits. Also had a tribe member demonstrating how to weave a belt. Masks are still required as of 3/5/22. Highly recommend!

The last stop on our family day trip was a visit to The Museum of the Cherokee Indian. My niece treated all of us for the $12.00 admission fee. The people working in the building were friendly, and would ask people where they were from. The tour is self guided with several items on display. This tour reminded of visiting the Lorraine Motel(civil rights museum) in Memphis, TN of how African Americans were treated. The Native Americans were treated just as badly. One of the displays is the Trail of Tears. There’s a gift shop at the end of the tour. If you haven’t visited The Museum of the Cherokee Indian, stop by for an educational visit. The 4 stars are because the women’s restroom was dirty.

I loved visiting this place! It has so much history, the life of the Native Americans, their legacy, their survival, and many qualities that they had. I recommend this place, because you can learn about primitive life and thus be able to understand how they lived and respect those who remain their descendants.

There was a person viewing with us that was super aggravating but that not the facilities fault. There were alot of stops that had none of the stories mentioned being told. Supposed to have audio and theater was closed. Loved what we could read, missed alot of information with audio out.

The main exhibit is not on display till next year but it was cool to see the smaller display...I spent a lot of time by the river park and of course Harrahs casino.

Absolutely phenomenal place to visit! If u are a motorcycle enthusiast then I highly recommend this museum! It's absolutely packed with bikes/motorcycles from every era since the very first. The history is an abundance and just seeing how they've evolved from then to know is simply remarkable. Be prepared to spend some time as it's an incredibly large museum packed but worth every moment ur able to dive deeply n2 the history packed exhibits and the knowledge that's with each.

Disappointing experience. The museum is on renovation. We went to learn some history of Cherokee. Instead, we paid to see one temporary room with irrelevant exhibition. Random objects like a car door with stickers and a wrestler costume is not what tells the history. Nobody warned us that there is nothing to see. Their gift shop has more interesting information than the exhibition. If you plan visiting the place, make sure they have completed the renovation fully.

Unfortunately they are under renos but the lady explained to us the rebate on the ticket price was for a smaller exhibit. Still enjoyed, I'm sure the real thing is worth it.

The museum was great, very educational and if you take your time to read all the exhibits, takes a couple of hours. Admission was cheap, gift shop has a good assortment of items to buy.

A unique experience to engage with the Cherokee Heritage. A must stop when in Cherokee! Unique gift ideas and a wonderful tour thru our heritage. History Buffs must see! Artisans in premise with pieces very one of a kind like jewelry and attire. Large book section to choose from. And more! Close to eateries and gasoline!

I am rating this “museum” with a 1, only because 0 is not offered. We arranged our vacation to see this “museum” reopen after it had been closed for updates ( my term). We knew the entire museum was not reopening, just part of it. I was very excited to learn more about the history of the Cherokee nation. First, calling this a museum experience is a huge stretch. It was a large, nice gift shop experience. Its focus is commercialism. The “museum” is ONE average size room and a small alcove with a few uniforms. There were a few signs with interesting historical facts but no informational details about the fact. The gift shop is much larger.The museum has displays about why Cherokee developed commercialism based on TV stereotypes. OK, I understand that. Why keep that impression going? I believe it was “reopened” to get people to the large gift shop area, not to create a worthwhile learning experience. There was a school field trip while we were there. As a retired teacher and administrator, it was difficult for me to see this being a day away from real learning for the students (and I completely support and encouraged valuable trips outside the classroom).I KNOW the Cherokee nation is more than capable of making this museum a wealth of learning opportunities. I realize the “main” exhibit is still being developed. In choosing to open this now as a “museum” is, in my opinion, disrespectful to the Cherokee nation. My sense is it was opened for people to spend money in the gift shop. I resent that for myself but much more so for the Cherokee nation. This should close as a museum until a proper celebration of Cherokee history is ready. Keep the gift shop open if you choose, but label it as such!

Always love this place, full of the history of the Cherokee people, so fantastic, recommend you check it out.

It was a fantastic experience to stay in Cherokee to see the Fall leaves and visit the original tribal land of the Cherokee people, and still the reservation for the Eastern Band of the Cherokee People. The Museum features many artifacts, masks and displays that describe Cherokee life from 11,000 years ago to the Trail of Tears and relocation of many members to Oklahoma. It is so wonderful to see the Eastern Band still residing on their original reservation and preserving the land of their ancestors in Cherokee, NC.I would have given this review 5 stars except the movie that was to be shown to better explain the Cherokee People history was not running on 10/24/2023 when we visited. We really enjoyed the Museum of the Cherokee People. I learned a lot about their history and enjoyed seeing the different artifacts. Nice little gift shop too!

We booked the Polar Express train ride for Christmas Eve. The parking is free and was easy to navigate.I was able to pick up the tickets with ease and hd plenty of time to look around before boarding the train.The boxcar that we were on was warm and had enough space to walk around and find our seat.We were disappointed that despite choosing seats together that initially assigned being at different at tables. Fortunately we were able to switch seats and sit together.The train ride was smooth and there were songs and cocoa with chocolate. I was most disappointed in the scenery which included excessive trash, tires, a car with two people strung out on drugs and things that took away from the experience of being on the "Polar Express".At the "North Pole" we were directed to look at different places related to Santa and Christmas. In reality, it was a persons house for each location with a sign in front stating what we should imagine it to be.For the price and the distance to get there, I would not book this experience again.

Wonderful trip, Kim, in first class, it was really great at giving us lots of information along the way. The young lady, (sorry I forgot your name), who sold us our tickets, was fantastic at getting us the best seats. Definitely recommend doing this trip lots of fun for all members of the family.

It was a nice relaxing ride on a steam train with great views of the Smokey Mountains. The food served was good and the service, great. However, this experience was made possible only by our server and hostess, Ginger! She was very knowledgeable of the history around the Nantahala. I think I can say that many of us in the Harper car loved talking with her. I can tell that she loves what she does and it shows. Kudos to you, Ginger! Once again, thank you for a memorable experience (and not because the my drink was knocked onto me)!

My wife and I rode first class for our anniversary and were blown away from the experience! We had an amazing time! The food/dessert was great, Chris our guide was hilarious and very knowledgeable and the views were stunning! We will definitely be back again!

A great experience amazing staff but I do recommend if you travel during cooler/cold temps especially with rain bring a BLANKET & heavy jacket for open cars. We road today with temps and rain we froze on the open car. The layover is to short especially if you get the last train car the walk takes most of your time. But overall would recommend for people to see this beautiful scenery

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip! Kyle was our guide, and he was super informative and educated about the area. We had the first car with controlled climate, and has the meal service. Food was average but the train ride was awesome. No kids were on the car, so it was a nice trip for adults with some good humor to be had.

Food was excellent.Did the Gorge run with a Diesel engine.They had an on board musician that went from car to car as well as a dedicated storyteller who grew up in the mountains that also went car to car.Recommend the excursion all the way!

Such a wonderful experience! Great for people of all ages! The loading process was quick and easy. There were many rail experiences to choose from and we chose the Nantahala Gorge trip. We had an absolute blast (even the teenager)! The rail car we were in was the Jackson and it was very cool and comfortable. There was a rail car that had a cafe for snacks, drinks, and eats (which we enjoyed). We will absolutely do this again and pick one of the other rail trips to see more of this beautiful place!

What a Wonderful way to see the Beautiful country side and Mountains of North Carolina. Very enjoyable ride in the open air. The town of Dillsboro for a layover was nice lots of shops to explore and places to grab a quick lunch. Would ABSOLUTELY do it again. Our 5 year old Grandson loved it as well. All around Great experience

We took the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad for our daughter's birthday. We had a wonderful day. The open air car was perfect late September. The views were great, the concessions were plentiful and very reasonably priced. We stopped at the Natahala Outdoor Center to stretch our legs. The staff was wonderful and entertaining. They answered all of our questions. We will be taking this train again. I would love to see what these views when the leaves have changed to Fall colors. I highly recommend this attraction if you are in the area. Don't miss it.

We booked the Sunset ride on a fairly warmer fall day in late October. We did the open air car and would recommend over an inside train car. The bench seats face the outside and you can easily get up and walk around vs the inside cars feel stuffy and seats are facing each other in the inside.Take a blanket and dress warm for once sun goes down, but completely worth it to have the open air to have better views and experience in my opinion.Views were awesome, ride was fun.Food, snacks, drinks, alcohol all available.

What a great experience! I have always wanted to ride a train and can now check it off my list. We rode on the McNeil car and had a wonderful lunch. The weather was overcast, but it did not spoil the fun. Our stewards Steve and David really took care of us. Our drinks were never empty, and we learned such history from Steve. I am recommending others and friends to take this trip. I would love to do it again in the fall. LOVED IT!!

My experience may have been slightly different considering the theme/event selected for our train ride.The, "Uncorked" wine tasting train ride was absolutely remarkable. There are pros and cons to every experience you'll take part in.For starters, the cost was reasonable to say the least. Once you're on board you have the option to buy additional beverages and snacks but its not necessary. The ride was approximately 3 to 4 hours long. You will make a stop in a small town where you can grab a beer or 5 and a bite if you're not pleased by the meals served on board.A friendly reminder: YOU ARE ABLE TO CALL PROIR TO HAVE YOUR DIETARY NEEDS MEET!The food was not the best but it did the job after a little salt and pepper was added. They were a bit short staffed but who isn't right now? It was a bit cold on the train so bring a jacket if you get cold like me.There wasn't much of a sight as the ride went along outside of the river located in this area. Personally, I think train rides are soothing but if you're looking for a scenery the only one you'll get is of trash, locals waving from their porch and that river mentioned before.It's quite the experience and if you like a little country feeling on a train, good adult beverages with some historical facts about the area thrown in the mix this is an ideal adventure for you.

We went on the 5 hour steam train ride and it was great! We rode in the open air car and the speed was perfect to help keep us cool on a VERY hot day but not windy at all. So if the wind is a reservation for you, it's not a problem. It was so nice having wide unobstructed views! The only time it was stuffy was waiting to move before getting started and when leaving the NOC. Employees were all friendly! Bring on your own snacks or you can purchase from the concessions car.

We did the first class seats where lunch is included. I got the pot roast and it was good, but the portions were a bit small. My wife got the pulled pork, she said the pork wasn't hot (temperature-wise) and the coleslaw wasn't cool - as if the food had been sitting out for a while. The ride was scenic and informative. Overall it was a nice way to spend a day. After it was over we toured their train museum and walked around Bryson City and checked out the various shops there.

A nostalgic and fun afternoon. We took an adult only wine sampler trip. Plenty to drink and our hostesses were entertaining and attentive.The food portion was well thought out, but the shrimp were over cooked. Everything else was fine and we sure didn't leave hungry. In fact, don't eat a big breakfast if you book the Uncorked. You're going to start eating right after the train rolls.Using the steam locomotive on the way out was very cool. Lots of opportunities for photography.

Fun trip. The "layover" was kind of useless if you want to eat or shop since there's not much time and it can be a long walk. Depends on which rail car you're in. Aside from that, the trip was awesome. There is so much to see. It's really beautiful. The storyteller was very interesting and informative. The crew was top-notch.

Our host, Nancy, was amazing!!We loved the trip and lunch.So much fun! The lunch and desserts were good. The entertainment was a nice touch. We like the souvenir bag and mugs.

Brought the kids and my mother. It was great. Although we were the loudest in our cart. We were in the Catamount and it was decorated so perfect for the occasion. Don't know if I would spend that kinda money again but glad we experienced the Polar Express.

Highly recommend adding this adventure to your trip! We had such a great time! Relaxing, informing about the train and the history of the town. Staff was great recommend riding first class in the Carolina Shine with Jacob! He was great! Food was good, drinks and bar drinks were good also!

We had an awesome experience on our Uncorked GSM Railroad tour and the scenary was so beautiful and relaxing! Sometimes it's just good to take it all in- the Beauty of Mother Nature.About the trip: The wine selections and pairing were good- although I didn't care much for the red wine ones.😁 I attached a copy of the menu for your review. The food was pretty tasty minus the baseball steak. My husband and I didn't like it at all. It was pretty dry for our liking while others seemed to enjoy it quite well.😋Our waiter & waitress were extremely friendly and funny. We were in First Class so, we received a few extra things along with interesting historical facts as we traveled the mountain side sipping on our wine or other wonderful libations offered from the bartender/our waiter. Also, our entertainment was pretty good! We began by joining in on a birthday song for another passenger. He turned 26 years old and was hanging out with his girlfriend in First Class. How cute!!! Next, the guitarist sang two country music songs and we bobbed our heads to each one. For the record, I do like a little country music, just depends on the artist.😉 He was really good!We had an hour layover/wait to do some mini sight-seeing, drop a group of passengers off for additional excursions, eat, purchase a souvenir, or relax by the river and watch the canoe/rafters go by. Then headed back down the mountain, sipping on wine/other libations while enjoying cheesecake, historical facts, another country song, and laughter.Definitely add to your bucket list of things to do.

It's a really fun experience and a beautiful ride. We prefer the open air cars for the views they offer. Just be aware this can be quite cold in the winter so wear thick clothing and bring/buy a blanket. The food offered is fine but not something to look forward to.

This was a really amazing way to easily see the landscape of the Smokies! Great for any train enthusiast and the tour was laid back and relaxing. An easy one-hour drive from Asheville. We went in early April in the first class open-air car. Bring a sweater as it was a bit breezy, but the fresh air was fantastic.Two things that detracted from the experience: First, on one side of the car (right as you are departing Bryson City) you face a lot of mountainside, which is not much of a view for a lot of the trip. Thankfully there is plenty of space for you to walk around the car and look over your neighbors to see the other side’s view. Secondly, a more formal spiel from the tour guide would have been appreciated for a history buff like me that isn’t too familiar with the area. This isn’t to say we didn’t learn a lot, but I think some of it got lost in the weeds.All in all, we had a great, relaxing time taking in the surroundings. When we visit NC next, we hope to catch this later in the spring or in the fall when the mountains have more color. Highly recommend!Oh, also, there’s a free model train museum!

Had a very relaxing ride seeing the scenery. We booked the open car with a meal. The day was beautiful! We had been years ago on the steam engine. This time we went further and saw Fontana. The trip takes about 4 hours.Don't worry.. restrooms and stops are included. You can also shop at Nantahala if you like.Book in advance so you will not be disappointed that they are sold out.They also do a Polar Express at Christmas 🎄. Check them out for themed trips down the rails. There is a variety of car options and food.

If you love fall foliage then be sure to book an autumn train ride in advance. They fill up fast and for good reason ... the views are incredible and the leaves are gorgeous! We rode about a week ahead of peak and it was still stunning. I highly recommend the open-air cars! There are speakers on them so you can hear all the interesting stories and facts about what you see on the ride. Halfway through you stop at the Nantahala Outdoor Center and can get off the train for a short bit. We had blankets and jackets/hats on-hand but ended up not needing them. We look forward to doing it again!

Our second year making the Polar Express a tradition and had a great time. They go above and beyond to ensure you have an awesome experience and get in the Christmas mood. We usually go after Christmas but still thoroughly enjoy it. Can't wait to go back next year!!

Such a fun experience! Train ride was relaxing and informative and the food and drinks on board were nice too! I'd suggest not even buying a boxed lunch but bringing your own or buying a hotdog or snack on the train from the little diner train car.Also make sure to buy tickets on the correct side of the train. One side has better viewing potential. (If that side of the train is sold out, you honestly can't go wrong with either side as you'll still be able to see out to the other side.)

The Polar Express was a wonderful holiday experience for my son. I’m not sure about all cabins, but we got a premium one and had a great time. The staff made it truly special for the kiddos and it was an overall great holiday memory. Gorgeous scenery.

The train ride was very enjoyable. We chose First Class with a meal that was fantastic. A tour guide, in the train car, that shared the points of interest including the train wreck from “The Fugitive”with Harrison Ford. The train followed the river where we saw some Elk. We looked in the tree top for Eagles but were shut out this trip. We stopped in a lovely town with several shops. Definitely worth the trip.

I chose this hotel because it is new and clean. The casino is fun we won many times over our 2 nights. Out biggest win was 850. We saw neighbors winning up to 2 thousand so it is fun. Everything is nearby. We drove to Bryson City for their Steam train, throughout the Smoky Mountains probably 5 or 6 times, Mingo Falls which is 5 minutes away and easy to hike, and so much more. I think about this place everyday. Loved it.

This resort was beautiful. We went with our two teenagers and unfortunately weren't able to go to the casino since we were told they couldn't be left unattended. That was the only down fall but other than that it was a beautiful stay. Amazing location beautiful views of the mountains and so many shops in the area. We will definitely be planning a trip here in the future!

Everything was fantastic from check in till check out. Our room was clean, black jack and poker dealers were so friendly. Food was excellent and had a lot of choices. I love that it is non smoking. Valet employees were great and work hard.

Was a bit disappointed in the rooms, price was great but, there was not any bottled water in the room to make coffee. I asked for bottled water and was told they didn't provide it but there was a vending machine I could get some from. That would have been great if the vending machine would have worked but I had to go to 3 other floors just to find a working vending machine for a 4$ bottle of water. That was just the only downer of my stay. The casino was nice and food was delicious. scenery was beautiful.

The hotel is very nice, but I also want to add that every time I came across someone on staff, they were always so friendly and pleasant. Housekeeping was very friendly as we walked down the hall…any time we walked by a staff member, they greeted us with a warm smile and hello. The security at the casino was comical and friendly, etc. I really appreciated all of that. My husband and I will definitely be back!

The service was extremely slow, no sense of urgency to get the crowds down. Do eat before you go there the food selection is limited and overpriced. The casino was as expected and no complaints. The event area was outstanding. One of the better venues. Saw Blackberry Smoke and there wasn't a bad seat.

Staff was accommodating and nice. Rooms were perfectly clean and neat. Bathroom was spacious and very clean as well. Everything was stocked well including toilet paper. Plenty of towels. Overhead shower is SO NICE. Big mirror, mini fridge, comfiest beds ever, and a lot of hotels don’t have comfier beds than the room I stayed in. Pillows were so fluffy, I wanted to ask them where I can buy the same ones. Checkout was so easy, just called front desk to check out in the morning and DONE! Nice little reading nook area. Direct access to casino and dining area. Lots of choices but as the night went on, only dessert, pizza, burgers were open. Only caveat is that the place is so big and parking lot as well, that after you park, it was confusing to find which way to go in order to get to the hotel area, so I wished they put signs up so when people get off the elevator, they wouldn’t be confused.

The resort is beautiful. The staff is phenomenal. The casino is huge and very welcoming. The drinks at the bar were amazing. However we had a loud, almost banging type of noise that wouldn't stop coming from the vent in our room and we couldn't sleep. I had to turn the TV on to drown out the noise and I literally only slept 3 hours. The room was very nice, the bed was extremely comfortable. If it wasn't for the constant noise and lack of sleep, my review would have been a lot more positive. It took over 30 minutes for the valet parking to return our car. My only other complaint is food. You couldn't eat anywhere at the resort without a reservation, there was absolutely no walk in restaurants available and all to go orders were stopped early. It was still a very beautiful place.

Beautiful hotel. I was here for the North Carolina Trucking Association Conference and Expo. Beautiful hotel, casino is huge and the expansion on the hotel is more than accommodating for visitors. I was here with my trailer for Truckers Against Trafficking and there were so many other things going on at the hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was nice. If you want a quick, inexpensive getaway, go during the week. The rate change for the weekend rates is quadruple what the weekday rates are. Loved visiting during this time of year as well. The beauty of fall was gorgeous and after walking through the parks I got some breathtaking pictures.

I always enjoy my stay at the hotel, win or lose. That being said, my friend and I both had errors on our bills. For me, I was charged for a night that was supposed to be complimentary. For my friend, he was charged for a movie he definitely didn’t order. My advice is to always check your bill and not assume it’s correct. This isn’t the first time this has happened.All that being said, nice casino. The variety of hotels are great. Staff is friendly, and the “no smoking” is awesome.

Large casino with many games and tables. Be prepared to walk a great distance if you want to explore. Free coffee, water, and soda are available at beverage stations. Rooms are spacious with fridge and microwaves. Plenty places for you to eat and alternative activities if you want to break the gambling up. There's a nice little city area about a mile from the casino if you want to do some shopping and exploring. Overall...this is a nice casino.

The cleanliness of the casino was the first thing that struck me. The floors were spotless, the slot machines were well-kept, and the bathrooms were spotless. I'd want to thank the workers at Harrah's Cherokee Casino. They were helpful, kind, and informed. Overall, I had a fantastic day at Harrah's Cherokee Casino. Everything exceeded my expectations, from the cleanliness to the safety to the friendly employees. I would strongly suggest this casino to anyone searching for a good time.

We came for my birthday and for my first trip to a casino. The hotel is beautiful and the casino floor is something straight out of a movie. That said, I’ve been in and around the hotel industry for almost a decade and finding a used mask in our bed, used bars of soap in the bathroom, no comforter or fitted sheet on the bed as well as the shower not draining were a little disappointing to me. Amy in the casino bar closest to the sports betting area makes a mean drink with a smile on her face the entire time. The experience overall was below expectations on the room/hotel but well above on the restaurants and overall vibe of the casino. The star may go up one if I don’t get sick from conditions found in the room.

Beautiful rooms with a large bathroom and great views. Very well maintained and clean. Friendly staff and good service. Room service is excellent. Very comfortable bed. Free drinks in the mini fridge.Valet parking and loading area. Nice shower and plenty of room. The couch folds out as an extra bedroom. The A/C works great and wasn’t loud.

From the food (5 star) to the casino to the hotel, even the valet service is awesome. There is nothing I would change about this place, besides being able to visit there more often. Everybody is so nice and ready to help. One of my favorite places to visit for sure 🌍

I truthfully love the architecture of this hotel. It is MAGICAL and huge! It never seems to end! They have plenty to do if you are not a gambler and plenty of machines if you do. I do wish they’d get a hot tub though around the indoor heated pool. The food was fairly priced and if you’re looking for gourmet, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse and the breakfast buffet was open til 11, which is a nice surprise! The hotels spa is pretty pricey, bring your wallet!

Overall, we had a good time. But a few things could be improved. In the lobby at the check-in desk, the lamps on the counter were VERY dusty, so it made me think that housekeeping is a low priority. The front desk is the first place that you go to when you get there, it should at least be clean. The elevators need some work, they are ugly (scratches & dirty tracks). Walking to our room, the hallway smelled like cigarette smoke! But I believe it’s non-smoking or at least the room we had was, but thank God the room did not smell like smoke. We ate at the P.F. Chang’s inside of the casino & they also have a food court, but everything is over priced. I think that they were understaffed in the casino, I remember someone coming around maybe three times my two days there & then if you press that service button, it took someone forever to come. But it was cool, i would go back.

The rooms have been clean and comfortable and always had nice and helpful staff. The prices are decent for a 4 star hotel so I definitely can't complain there. Actually, rephrase... Amazing prices! The location from where I live in Newport, TN doesn't take all that long but the road is curvy and more curvy so be safe. It's super dangerous on that highway. Drive slow and pay attention. Don't drive there high or drunk please! I barely make it sober. Jeez. If you get car sick then good luck because bring a barf bag and take Dramamine beforehand or you will likely regret it! There are two FREE parking garages for the hotel & casino guests and yes it's free if you don't decide to pay for a room and only stay to gamble or vice versa of course. There is room service available within the hotel for guests, which you have to pay for obviously when they deliver the order to the room but also there are many other options for a quick bite around the outside of the hotel and casino but still fairly close by such as Wendy's, McDonald's, Taco Belle etc.There are multiple gas stations and plenty of other stores around the same area and so much to do in Cherokee in general.

Great place to relax and have fun. Good selection of food also. Valet parking is offered for guests that stay in the hotel for free. The rooms are really nice. The games are really fun. Drinks are a little expensive, but hay, you're here to have fun. The staff is really friendly. And don't forget to tip your waiting and cleaning staff!!!

Check in is easy and staff friendly and polite. Gambling is exactly that, I haven’t won any big money but several small wins keeps me in the game. Starbucks staff super polite. Ruth Chris filet literally melts in your mouth. Enjoy fellow gamblers!

Very nice casino. Great food, all kinds of stuff for everyone in the family. Kind staff the drive over the mountain is fantastic views as well. Slots selection is great. There are a lot of new games. Sports book is awesome. The rooms are clean also. Pet friendly would come back anytime.

Beautiful location and building, inside and out. Everything was virtually immaculate and the valet and bell services were very expedient given the volume of people! Room was excellent, beds and bath were very comfortable. We had a clogged up drain and upon calling it in, we were almost immediately greeted by a serviceman who had it fixed up super fast! Casino was perfectly vibrant, fun, and lively. Food spots were all busy as expected, but the food was absolute perfection!I absolutely look forward to coming back! Worth every dollar and second!

What an awesome resort! Everything you could want to do in a beautiful town. Spectacular casino floor with lots of tables and slots, sports betting, rooms are immaculate and no soaring on decor. Valet parking and more. I was so impressed I’ll do it again!

We didn't stay on property, but the casino itself is great! Plenty of self-parking, lots of slots, and a good amount of table games. The sportsbook is large and really nice too. Super fun destination for a little gambling and hanging out.

The place is nice....the location is great! I just don't understand the logic of most of the tables having $25 minimum and they are empty, but the five $15 dollar minimum tables are 3 deep with folks waiting. Wouldn't you actually make more money by offering the options people clearly want? it's not unique to this site, but jeez, you'd obviously take more money in and have higher customer satisfaction by giving g reasonable minimums. I guess you do what you want when you're the only show in town.

Amazing stay at Harrah's Cherokee Casino and Resort. My husband and I stayed at the resort for three nights and truly loved our whole experience. The room was great, the service was exceptional and the food/drinks were on point!I would also really love to shoutout to Mr. Thomas Serrano who works in the casino. He was at the Roulette table when my husband and I went on the evening of 11.16 and he was fantastic! We ended up going back to the table again before he left for the evening because of how great he was!! We truly appreciated his kindness and service.

Enjoyed our first trip to Cherokee Resort. I have been to the casino several times over the last 15 years but never stayed at the hotel until this week. Was pleasantly surprised with the room size and quality. It’s a far walk to the casino floor but no big deal. They are really really hard core about checking IDs here, seemed redundant to check my ID to get into the casino floor and then Also check my Id to buy alcohol but whatever. Staff was friendly all throughout the casino EXCEPT for the dealers, which is unfortunate. All the security staff and valet and and Rewards center folks and servers were nice but hotel check-in staff and dealers were either unfriendly or just outright rude. I read about machines breaking down and unfortunately that was also the case for us. Really sucked the fun out of some times we had. We won a few hundred dollars through the course of the night and enjoyed our food and coffee from the GR food court. Hopefully the next time we come back the machines that they KNOW are experiencing issues will be fixed, and the dealers can learn some common courtesy.

Had an excellent time! All of the staff were exceptional and went out of their way to assist from the time we pulled in until we left.We came from Michigan and traveled to Sarasota FL. 10 hotels/resorts in 14 days. Harrah's was the #1 stay out of the entire trip!We will be back but next time we'll stay longer.Highly recommend.

Always a fun time here. If I can find one thing to complain about it's the fact the rooms are a long walk to the casino floor. Longer than from the public parking garage. Other than that we love this place. We just don't stay at the casino hotel. We did stay in one of the rooms and it was excellent. Bed was extremely comfortable. Room was big and roomy. Not disappointed with the room just the looooong walk to casino floor

Rooms were clean and uniquely designed. Service was good for the majority of the hotel/casino. I gave that 4 instead of 5 because the bartenders at Myst disappeared for awhile…not literally but did not fill our drinks even after we ordered. The location receives 5 stars due to its proximity to Atlanta.

It's a good casino to spend time (and money, of course).. They have a lot of slot gambling machines and a good amount of dealer managed tables. There are food courts available with limited options..Dedicated smoking room with slot machines is available. For a place without any other entertainment options in near 60 mile radius, this can be called a king of entertainment for that location : ) . You need to be 18 + to enter the casino, and IDs are checked at entrance. Please note that, as per NC rule , you will get alcohol only up to 2PM. So grab your drink before that.

Nice hotel, good parking. I'm the middle of changing the food services over so that is a bit of a mess, but what you get it good. Casino is clean and nice, doing some work on it, hopefully updating it a little. Not too crowded, easy to get on a table or machine.

My husband and I drove from Pigeon Forge to Cherokee to visit the casino. Easy parking and entrance to the casino. Staff were friendly, and we visited for a few hours. Free drinks were a nice amenity, and we did win some money which was also a plus. Nice selection of slots and table games. We walked around the resort and checked out what it had to offer, very nice. Would consider coming back to stay or visit.

We've never stayed in their rooms, so can't give a rating on that, but we have visited the casino and the event center to see a couple of shows. The casino floor can be a little chaotic for a first timer. Once you figure out the way it all works it's not that bad at all. The event center is great. It's not too big and not too small. Not really a bad seat in the place. The food court has decreased in size and choices which is a little disappointing. Also, would be nice if food court was open all night. The casino floor is clean and well supervised/managed. The restrooms are a little dirty, especially the urinals, but with that many folks having adult beverages and using the urinal, I guess it's to be expected. Overall, it's been an enjoyable experience each time we visit.

Let me say this. I travel the world and gamble. I know I’m not going to always win, but most of the time. I win BIG! However, I have never played in a casino as tight as this one. I watched people lose tons of money for three days in a row especially playing on those Dragon links at the front. The games were not paying. If you want to go have fun and play on anything under $2.50 then maybe you will enjoy it. However if you like to walk out of there winning BIG off of max bets this is not the Casino to visit. The atmosphere was great, but the winning moments were not. It was so bad I checked out a day before my scheduled departure. Then they do not give you any free play.The drive from Maggie Valley was beautiful but if you don’t and can not handle lots of curves, swings, and turns. Do not come from that direction. Overall I enjoyed the people I met while we were all losing our money. Lol! The mountains were also a beautiful postcard.

Went here for GAF conference. Conference was great. Lots of food which was okay. Area was large and easy to get around. Room was nice but view of wall from window not so much. Relieved $25 gift card which couldn't be used at any casino machine so worthless. Saved us money in long run I guess as we just lifted casino after that.

The room was beautiful. Enjoyed the couch and chair and overall seating area. The bed was comfortable. Views from most of the hotel are gorgeous! The mountains are beautiful! Stream flowing right outside the grounds. I'm sure it's even more beautiful as spring turns to summer and fall. Our particular view was that of the rooftops of adjoining hotel buildings, so pretty sparse! Metal soap dish broken in shower. Dust bunnies on wall/ceiling above bathroom mirror. Exhaust fan in bathroom desperately needed cleaning. Coffee maker spillover. A bit pricey, but not too bad.

Our first time going to a casino and we really enjoyed our time! The drive to this location is beautiful! Getting there, we didn’t know where to go or how to get started and we had a lot of help along the way! Everyone seemed inviting and willing to assist us. The drinks were great. We won a little money too! We can’t wait to go back!

Visited here with our children, and the food and atmosphere were very nice! Waitstaff in the casino was helpful with any questions and kids had fun seeing all the lights and stores, as they couldn’t gamble obviously. But still a good time, nothing won at slots to write home about, but fun time losing.. lol.

We visited the museum for Father's Day. I was very impressed with both the quality and quantity of motorcycles on display. They started one of the car's on display and two of the motorcycles on display while we were there. It seems almost everything on display is in running order! And they will start anything on display if you want to see and hear it run. We had a great time and I hope to visit again. Despite spending a couple of hours, I think I missed some of the displays. There is so much to see that it is difficult not to get distracted and miss something. All in all, a great museum if you like motorcycles.

This place is freaking awesome. Got the skinny on the worlds rarest motorcycle. Great story and great museum so many Harleys and different peoples custom uses of Harley Davidson engines. I will visit every time I’m in the area. We were warmly received and the history that has been preserved is irreplaceable. Great fun.

I love this place, the Mecca of vintage motorcycles. This place is huge and you can spend hours just walking around. They had a couple tour guys that would walk around talking about what made bikes special and manufactures. They even started a couple of the bikes up. One tour guide name was Andy and extremely knowledgeable on the technical aspects of the bikes. He told me I gave him the stink eye when he said something about Harley Davidson haha.

This place was really an incredible place to experience. They had multiple bikes from every single era from the very first one to present. If u like motorcycles then I highly recommend u paying them a visit. Heck pay a visit if motorcycles are not ur thing..the history and seeing how they've evolved since the first build is incredible and there's so much rich history!

Absolutely a piece of Americana and a must see for anyone whether a motorcycle fan or not. What a rich history of innovation and human achievement that lead us to the Industrial powerhouse that we are.For those who are fans of American Pickers, there is an episode filmed at this location because of Mike Wolfe's relationship with the location.

An amazing find. Took us about 4 hours to look round. Staff are welcoming, knowledgeable and at hand if you have any questions. All bikes run, some are started throughout the day. My favourite was the motorcycle found in a wall !! It’s in a beautiful setting with well kept grounds and plenty of seating.

It's a 5 star collection that just needs a little more organized curating to warrant 5stars. I went with my husband who follows the you tube channel and the associations he has with other you tubers. I am not a motorcycle enthusiast but found this museum to be so unique and truly peaked my curiosity regarding all things motorcycle! From bikes with motors to the present day. Carrier pigeon motorcycle. Especially interesting are so many one-of-a-kind motorcycles. So many stories with each one. The other thing beyond amazing is the museum guides starting up 107 year old motorcycles and telling you all about them. I loved visiting the museum and highly recommend the trip.

So I’m not a motorcycle person in the least bit but this was cool. Especially if you like history! They have so many bikes in here. Most of them run and they will start them for you. So many knowledgeable people walking about that will tell you the best stories. Andy was the best to hear stories from. I could have listened to him all day. If you’re near and the weather is crappy outside I suggest giving it a shot. I highly suggest if you’re a motorcycle fan or gear head.

Awesome experience. Seeing the evolution of the American made motorcycle. Displays show what the motorcycle lifestyle was like through history. Most of bikes run and they will start one if you ask. Don't know if they still do the burnouts like when the owner was still alive.I enjoyed reading the owners history and his love of all things with a engine. Absolutely great place to see and experience the history of motorcycles. Very well set up with lots of reading to go with the displays. Everything runs they will even start some up while you're there. One supported this place for years but this was my first actual visit. I was so happy to see all of the history.

If you are ever in Maggie Valley or even the Gatlinburg area and you love motorcycles and the history of motorcycles, be sure to take the time to visit Wheels through time. I’ve been wanting to go for many years and finally had the opportunity and what a great experience. Once I entered the museum the “ace” immediately caught my attention since I’m a big fan of early motorcycles and this is one beautiful piece of work. While looking at every detail I was approached by an employee whom I later found to be (Andy) and he asked if I new the history to which I replied no I have only heard about them and before you know it he began to tell me how this bike began and within minutes through his story telling he captivated the attention of nearly 20 or so people. I had only walked in the museum moments earlier and after my first 20 minutes I knew it would be a great experience. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I’m looking forward to my next visit and trying to coordinate efforts to have some friends from Florida meet us here next time around. Thank you for your hospitality and the museum is amazing, so much history.

This is by far the best museum I've ever been to! I lost count on how many bikes I saw and heard starting and running! So cool! I met the owner, Matt, who was so personable and knowledgeable. Made me feel like I've known him forever. He was just making his was around saying hi starting bikes and sharing his what seemed to be unlimited knowledge. Will definitely return many more times in the future.

An absolute gem. Everyone is super helpful and incredibly knowledgeable. Vintage, mostly running motorcycles organized by type and Era. The largest selection of WWII service bikes I've ever heard of, let alone seen! Literally every Era and type of racing is covered. If you have any interest in motorcycles or history coming here is a must!

My best friends father always talked about this place and always told me to go here, after losing him to a motorcycle accident last November i made it a goal to visit as soon as possible. I have to say this place is a must stop for anyone remotely into motorcycles or cars or anything with an engine for that matter. Museum is amazing. A real gem of a find in the Western North Carolina mountains! Loved it so much, we moved to Andrews! Well, it contributed to our decision to move here anyway. Rare to find a place that offers both excellent wines and craft beers. Such a cozy place to enjoy a glass of wine, while listening to live local and regional musical talent.

We went down for a before dinner drink and found out good music was coming " The Harmed Brothers " and it did. Beautiful night and outdoor venue, a good crowd and seats. The music was awesome, so were the beverages. Brought dinner in to spend a couple of hours. Nice!

Is there another way to add additional stats on here??********** And a Michelin star. The only vineyard/ brewery I have been to as charming as the French countryside I've never been too. Seriously. Delicious wine. The most relaxing laid back yet exquisite atmosphere. A hidden gem in the middle of nowhere. Please, do yourself a life favor, and find this place, in October, underneath a beautiful blue sky.

I wish I could get up there from Atlanta more often. I spent a nice relaxing 45 minutes there doing a tasting, settling on one to enjoy the scenery with, and they gave me some pretzels to have with it even. The weather was perfect. I need to get there more often.

A great winery and I love their wines! We visit several times a year to stock up. Order by mail too! Owners are very nice and friendly.

The beer and atmosphere are both great! Next time I'll try the wine. I loved being greeted by Lilly and Porter. I will plan on being back for sure.

Definitely recommend them. Had our memorial day weekend spent well.Sun or rain they operate they kept the word.Enjoyed the zipline in sun and rain on the same day.Happened to take photos of some of the ziplines.

My kids and I had a blast! We were total newbies, and a little nervous. Trevor and Sara were our guides and they were fantastic. They made us feel safe and relaxed, and it was obvious that our safety and experience was paramount. My kids are 10 and 17... we all started anxious and ended up grinning ear to ear! It was exhilarating and comfortable. We will come back on our next trip!! Thank you RidgeRunner:)

We were running a little late but our guides were very accommodating. They went through the basics of ziplining and gave us first timers enough confidence to breeze through the 10 line course. The course itself is of moderate difficulty, a nice balance for all people. Our guides Corey and Brad kept us entertained throughout.

Beautiful day in the mountains! Enjoyed flying high above the trees at this spot. Great owner and guides and can't wait to do it again!

We had an awesome experience! The owner and guides were very friendly, easy to have fun with and respected each of us at our level. We were a group of 5; 2 adults and three almost adult children. A couple of us were very scared at first (my first time zip-lining) and some were very adventure-seeking. The staff made me feel at ease and helped the adventuresome ones have a really fun time (spinning, bouncing, going really fast, etc) and I felt my kids were also safe as staff set boundaries as to which trails they may or may not do stunts. When I came in for a "hot" landing and almost kicked Chris, he made sure I was safe and reminded me that he wanted me to have a good time (and he was unharmed!-so he said!!). It was convenient to schedule on line.

This is the 2nd time my family has gone with the Ridge Runner Company. The Sue and her staff are fun and professional. The course is awesome and exhilarating! It was even better this time than 3 years ago when we did it. I highly recommend going here. We even were served hot dogs on the grill made by Steve! Good Times!

My husband and I had our first ever zipline experience here! It was AWESOME! Some mild worry at first.......esp. by me...lol......But I should not have been worried at all!! Sue and Tony could not have been any more professional or nicer! We would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone. This was a major highlight of our trip and we are hoping to return next year with a couple more in tow!!!! To top it off......we were the only two booked that day as it was close to the end of the season!!!

We loved ALL of the staff- they were warm, welcoming and incredibly helpful! If not for Chris, we would have passed up several sapphires. He has an eagle eye for them! The idea of going and digging and bringing it down for the rinse and hunt was very neat. They have sturdy walkways from the dig site to the rinsing area. It was very affordable at $35/per person.The only thing that we were bummed about is the rareness to find rubies! Also the shop had very little on display for purchase. Though, that is not what there establishment is for- it is all about the dig! We wished the bathrooms had been de-winterized, but the good ol' porta potty was clean as a whistle!

We had a fantastic time! The first day my kids and I left with just shy of 50 ct and a very memorable day. The staff was so friendly I felt like I was at home and knew them my whole life. We actually went back a day later and had an even better time. We found over 100ct, and engaged in a friendly competition with Chris. He taught my son how to prospect in the mine and even I was able to find a few on the surface. Jessica was great at helping identify the ones I just couldn’t tell the first day and my daughter loved hanging with her. There is just something about the shop keeper that makes you love her. I can’t find the words that describe her well, she has this great vibe. From the moment I meet her I wanted to hug her. My kids felt the same way about her and bought her bromeliads that reminded them of her. That’s how wonderful she was. We plan on returning next spring for a few days camping.

We had a fantastic time today at Masons! We found 13.95 carats of sapphire and had so much fun doing it. The staff was so friendly and helpful too. One bit of advice, if you’re not familiar with the area, Google and copy directions FROM THE MINE TO YOUR PLACE for when you leave because there is no reception in that area. Trust me!But again, this was a lot of fun. The staff was great and we will be back next year!

We called well over a month ago. In fact several times. You said you would be open. It was in the upper sixties all weekend and never went below freezing. We spent alot of money on renting a cabin in franklin only to find out the mine was CLOSED. I do not recommend this business to anyone. There were 9 of us and we were really looking forward to it. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS. I expect my other neighbors will leave a similar review. Sorry mason.

My husband and I went here for some adventure, and we found it! We didn't have too much luck looking for sapphires or rubies. We found about 4 small ones, but we definitely found a good amount of garnet! One weighed in at 43 carats and another at 52 carats! We definitely had fun in the pits, and sluceing what we found. If you're looking for a good time, with minimal hard work, this is for you, and you will have fun! Mike was very knowledgeable and the other guy there was an awesome help too!

Our family went here for a day of mining and had such a great time!! The staff made the experience even better. We really liked it so much, we are thinking of coming back to try the camping too on another trip!

Camped and mined here for two days.No traffic noise at the camp area. Super quiet. I won a T-shirt for being the first camper for the 2023 season.Mike, Jordan, and Toby are wonderful and helpful for finding the sapphires. One day, one of the miners found a 10 ct sapphire. Plus a blue sapphire was found, a rare find.Bring your dog! The staff loves good dogs.

Had a great time here!! I love how you can guarantee yourself a find with the salted buckets or you can dig your own buckets with unsalted dirt from the mine. Everyone is so nice and knowledgeable and I was super happy with my finds digging my own buckets that were not salted (I love the challenge) I found a variety of garnet, rubies, sapphire, moonstone, and quartz! What is even better, when you are done someone will idea your finds for you and put them in a baggy and label it! Talk about great customer service!! I also got a kick out of the funhouse mirror in the bathroom that was pleasantly cleaner than I thought it would be for the mine. I highly recommend for all ages and skill levels! Fun to be had by everyone!

Ok, my wife is the gem miner but this is THE place to go, better than any other I have been to and have been to many. Dig your own pail from the mine - excellent touch. And the exam by the folks who run it is the best part. Knowledgeable, friendly and they label and bag your treasures while you watch - an excellent part of the overall experience. The grounds are beautiful with many flowers, bird feeders and a playground for the kiddos. Also have a gift shop if you didn't clean what you wanted. We will definitely be back. Recommend the Super bucket and let friends help👍

Offers dig your own buckets!!!This was so much fun and we found beautiful gems.The staff is friendly knowledgeable and very helpful from start to finish.They even identified every stone and put them in their own bags so we knew exactly what we found. No other mine has done that.I've been to the other tourist mines in Franklin and this is by far the best.

OMG!! FUN FUN FUN!! My sister-in-law and I went here yesterday for some good ole fashion fun. The staff was unbelievably helpful and friendly, and made sure all was well throughout the day. We were here for hours digging through our dirt, and playing in the mud. Thank goodness they sell snacks. Lol. It rained a lot, but the flume is covered so we stayed dry. They were on top of any questions we had. Kim was kind enough to fill my sister-in-laws bucket because of some trouble she has walking, and the wet ground was slippery. We found all kinds of gem stones (lots and lots of them) and some indian pottery from over 2000 years ago. At the end of the day I purchased a geode to crack open. It was a really cool experience for me, and I scored a beautiful Amethyst one ❤️.

Super spot for the kids. The couple that owns it label the finds in a kind of show and tell, and the kids have an opportunity to be really captivated with the geology lesson. They also prepare buckets with some exciting reveals, available for $5 when added to the regular bucket purchase. This place was half way to a nice trout farm visit, and it was a really nice geek-out orchestrated to factor in children and post some regular materials for adults too.

Fantastic experience! Highly recommend Sean’s mine. He was a pleasure to talk to, very knowledgeable about gemstones and mining. Answered all of my 5 year olds questions with a smile and a laugh and even answered mine.The best part was once we were done, he took the time to lay out all our finds and identified every single piece and then wrote its name on a little bag so he could remember the names. He’s the only mine that does that in the area so if you have a kid that’s really interested, he’s the guy to see.

Just left and had an absolutely amazing time. I’ve been to a few different mines and this has been the best experience. The flume was easy to sit at and all the equipment was easy to use and in very good condition. There is a bathroom available which is always a plus. The owner and employees were very nice and made the experience perfect for my 5 year old. Also, we found some beautiful stones!

Absolutely the best mine in Franklin, I arrived before the official start of the season but Shawn(Sean?) the owner was nice enough to let my group do a couple buckets anyhow. We did the native bucket and had so much fun, he went through everything we found and helped us identify everything. Beautiful selection of other buckets for any and all price ranges or rock desires. Cannot express how much I’d recommend this wonderful spot. Beautiful, quiet, set right by the campground, and dog friendly! 10/10 service and experience. Will definitely be back again before the seasons over!

Brought the fam for some native gem mining. The mine owner, Sean (geologist!), his staffer Tommy, and mom Kim were super helpful in identifying all the gems and stones found and giving scientific information about chemical makeup and formation. They were great with our kiddo and gave her interesting experiences with some of the native wildlife like newts, salamanders, and crayfish, while working to open and beautify their water flow area with new plants. The sluice is covered. We came early in the season when still cool out, but in the thick of summer a good sun hat or sunscreen recommended as some of the seats are full-sun on your back. We did native pay dirt, but many salted buckets are available. We found a good variety of gems - garnet, ruby, emerald, quartz, topaz, moonstone, aventurine, sapphire, and we even found pieces of Cherokee pottery. We come to this area for family gem mining from out of state for family vacations and we have tried many of the mines here - this has by far been our favorite. 5 stars!

This is a family owned mine. The staff is so nice & very helpful. If your not experienced they explain how it works and what to do. They offer dig your own at a set price which includes 2 buckets. Very reasonably priced. They also offer pre dug buckets for you to sift thru, and guaranteed stones. The place is nicely set up, there are tables to sit at and the sifting area is under shade. The one gentleman is a gemologist and enjoys coming around and helping you identify your finds. When your done they identify for you and place in separate bags. We were visiting from Florida and stumbled across this place. Very happy we did, we all had an amazing time & will definitely visit again when we are back up visiting family.

We had the BEST time at Rose Creek Mine! We’ve been to other mines in the area, and they all are great, but Kim spent a lot of time with my curious child and was so great with him! She was so kind and knowledgeable, it really made the experience stand out.We also liked that the parking was right there at the mine, so it was easy for my Dad to get around. Bathrooms were clean, and you got to dig your own dirt.We found lots of good gems in the native bucket and also paid for a seeded bucket which was great. Lastly, we couldn’t get away without buying and cracking our own geode, by far the coolest and now favorite addition to my son’s collection.We will definitely be back!

I’m so glad we chose Rose Creek Mine! The owner and his assistant were awesome. They were knowledgeable, helpful, and so patient with my 2 boys and their thousands of questions. Great service that included identifying and labeling all of our stones. We had so much fun and can’t wait to go back the next time we’re in NC!

We found this place on our way out of town. It was highly recommended and didn’t disappoint! We got a couple of kid’s buckets and a native dig. Then my husband did the Geode cut. The staff was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The kids had some beautiful finds and they labeled each bag for them, taking the time to explain what each item was and its origin. We were so happy to make this part of our Spring Break trip. We will definitely return when we are in the area!

We had a great time mining at Rose Creek. The owner/staff were friendly and informative. I love that we had the choice ($$) to work straight from mine dirt or "salted" dirt. We picked mine dirt and none of us (5) went home empty handed. It was a fun afternoon that we plan to do again.

My son and I visited for spring break and had so much fun! He got a salted bucket with amethyst that was well worth the money. I just dug my own and ended up with a piece of pottery and some beautiful garnets. He also cracked his own geode, which was one of the highlights of our trip! Both the owner, and the sweet lady helping him, were extremely knowledgeable and joy to talk to. We’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Absolutely loved my visit to Rose Creek Mine. The owner, was super sweet. And very knowledgeable. Extremely helpful, and even educating me on the different gems that I found. Always answering questions that I had, and helping to identify my finds. They have a geode cracking station on the premises. It was amazing! Such an experience. I found Quartz, Tourmaline,Sillimunite,Cherokee Pottery,Topaz, Moonstone, Kyunite,Ruby.Sapphire,Garnet and Amethyst.I also treated myself and bought a large bucket with some beautiful pieces! And Tom, if you happen to read this, thank you for the pieces of amethyst. Very thoughtful. I would strongly recommend y’all to bring your families, including your children and pets! This is a pet friendly adventure.

Took my 11 year old son this past weekend and had a great time. I did a natural bucket and found several garnets, rubys, and quartz. My son had a salted bucket that contained a lot of large and gorgeous stones - many of them excellent quality for cut jewelry. The staff was so knowledgeable and friendly. They let us move at our own pace and were very happy to any questions.

It was a lot of fun, and you will definitely find some gems without the salted bucket, but I highly recommend the salted bucket because you find some good gems in those. They do have different sized buckets for larger groups.

This is the easiest 5 star review I’ve ever given. Sean, Tommy and Kim are excellent hosts and extremely knowledgeable about both the mine finds and the area. My family and I spent the first day digging native buckets and were honestly surprised at the amount and variety of gems that we found. We spent the next day at a different mine but decided to extend our trip one more day just to go back to Rose Creek. The second day my daughter got a kids bucket (enriched with gems) and I promise you I was barely able to sift through 1/4 of a screen before she screamed “Dad! Look at THIS one!!”. She walked away with so many gems and minerals from the kids bucket that it was WELL worth the price. After we completed our digs and sifting, we took our finds to Sean and Tommy and THEY IDENTIFIED AND BAGGED EACH GROUP OF GEMS! Most other mines will tell you “oh yeah, that’s garnet, that’s kyanite” and all of your finds get tossed into a bottle. NOT HERE! In fact they came around so often providing knowledge and entertaining conversation that my wife was identifying her own finds and getting confirmation. Add on top of it all that we were able to bring our dogs (the mine had dog treats!). There is absolutely no doubt that this mine is going to be a frequent visit for us. A free cultural attraction with tremendous history within the indigenous community. The story is a great giant claimed this area and had to be carefully approached for permission to hunt on his land. That giant is believed to have produced the glyphs on this rock. The glyphs are said to be the oldest in North America. Approach with respect, for this site is sacred to the indigenous people.

Way cool sight to see if you’re a fan of history. The story surrounding the Judaculla Rock is the most fascinating. While some may think its lore we have learned there is always some truth in stories like this.

They watch this special place very well! They try and protect it from vandalism and poaching and do a great job from the locals in doing so!

This is the third of the wierd and unusual places I visited today in North Carlonia. This is a Cherokee cultural site . The rock is primarly soapston that was carved between 300 and 1500 years ago. I am not sure what the petroglyphs are carved into the stone mean or say. I am not sure anyone does. This place is not far from Western Carolina University.

Absolutely the coolest thing! I wasn’t expecting it to have as many petroglyphs as it actually had. Lots of info on site and thankful the land owners have put all the land surrounding it in a trust for the future preservation of this amazing place. 100% you must see this if you are in the area.

Its an enchanting drive to a very secluded rock with picts from several thousand years ago, that are still being studied. We had all the time we wanted alone with the spiritual area. And these pics don't do the area justice.

For it being a single rock in the middle of nowhere, they have created a nice area for it. We got there a little late in the day, so we didn’t get much time to look at it before it was dark.**Special Note** if you are pulling a trailer, you may want to drop it somewhere before heading in to see the rock. There is not a place to turn around with a trailer or an RV.

If you love historical landmarks then this is by far a must see. Fascinating

This is an ancient site probably older than the given age. Wierd markings in rocks and story's about giants living around it. Very interesting. It seems like there a great story here. Beautiful scenery in a valley with pastures and mountains on each side with a river flowing through.

Beautiful and magical place! Easy to get to. Left me full of wonder and questions. I just wish it was out of the weather, and better protected from erosion. Well worth the trip!

Great site that’s definitely worth a stop. The site is very nice and gives you a great view of the petroglyphs. The signage surrounding the rock is very informative and insightful.

Been in this general area many times but never knew Bout this place. Very interesting. Ancient petroglyphs fascinating. Area was quiet and out of the way. Maintained very well.

Kind of far off the beaten path to get there, about 45 minutes one way from Cherokee casino. It is a really interesting artifact. In the future, I hope that they are able to get the stone covered with a pavilion to save it for future viewing!!

Very cool to see. Just follow the sign, it's a few miles but you can't miss it at the end. Parking is just on the side of the road.

It was clean just a beautiful piece of land with little of history during winter there is no garden of veggies but lots of books in the free library

Very awesome experience! Came in from West Virginia to visit family for Christmas. Really enjoyed the drive out. And loved the little free book library and the spot for vegetables and produce. That's so cool. Loved it and can't wait to come back!!

Judaculla rock in Cullawhee, NC is a nice little historical stop. They have a little Book swap station, free vegetable stand and beautiful views. There are plenty of history boards to read to tell you about the history of the rock. The landscape is well maintained and an easy walk from the road even if you have a mild walking problem.

552 Judaculla Rock Rd, Cullowhee, NC 28723, USA

No markings on Hwy 64 for this, so follow Google Maps (or Waze) to the falls where there is a pullout for about 4 cars on the falls side of the road. There are a few other pullouts nearby uphill from the falls on either side of the road, but on a busy day you’ll have to wait it out for parking.The trail is fairly level but rocky to the edge of the drop off. Decent view of the falls from there, but if you want some exercise and a better view, go ahead and clamber down the rocks and dirt trail, hanging on to trees, rocks and roots to get safely to the bottom. Just take it slow and cautiously and you’ll be fine - but be warned, it is a very steep descent.Beautiful falls to take in when you are in the area.

One of most most amazing waterfalls in the carolinas. Luckily it is not the easiest to get there so not people know about directions and it is very peaceful.

The falls are not at all visible from the road. There is a tiny pull off (2 cars max) against the guard rail. You have to hop the rail and hike down. It's a rather steep hike at sections and someone has strung rope to help you get up and down. It's not an easy hike but def not impossible but def slippery when raining.Was certainly awesome and an experience to get there 🤪

I was in awe.We couldn't stay long enough unfortunately. We did get to hike down the gorge just to the bottom of the falls. Very slippery. Some ropes too help with rocks. The sound of the falls was like Mother Nature's heartbeat. Won't disappoint! Parking minimal.

Not easy to hike down! There is a small (2 car maybe) size pull of on the side of a winding road that you can drop at and see the falls. There is a tiny hike up to the left for an overlook but to get down to the falls you need to go over the rail and climb down.This is dangerous so be careful. Steep, position ivy, snakes, etc.We usually brave hikes like this so it was challenging but not terribly hard for us.Totally worth it if you decide to go.We wore chacos and were just fine. Careful, the rocks are slippery:)

Stunning waterfall's! Absolutely beautiful and worth the drive! (Our drive was about an hour and half). The falls go on for miles before you reach Dry Falls which you can walk under! $3 a day or $15 for a year to it and two other falls.

Cullasaja falls is absolutely breathtaking. You have to climb down a pretty steep area to get to the base of the falls. Great caution should be used but if you are up for it then you won’t be disappointed.The parking area is really small so watch for cars as they come around the sharp curves.

Beautiful. We hiked halfway down and loved the view from there. We will try to hike the whole way down next time.. very pretty fall.

Amazing!!! Hard to find at first while driving, but there was another car parked so we just kinda discovered it as we went! I think there’s other ways of getting down there, but we went over the rail. There’s a steeep path, so be very careful and travel with a buddy as it’s kind of dangerous. There were other people nearby with kids, but I wouldn’t recommend that as it’s a hard slope to head down. It’s a small path way, but to ensure your safety, take your time. Many rocks, so just watch your step! Once you get down there, you’ll be super pleased! Very enjoyable view and relaxing area. Going back up was a total workout! Great time overall :)

Just driving down the road and oh my!!! How cool!!!!This waterfall is literally right on the road as you drive by. Absolutely awesome!!! There is parking before and after the falls but a must stop while in town.You used to be able to drive behind it but now can only walk behind it.

We finally took the time to take a 2 hour drive up to see the fall! Though it wasn't a large fast flow coming down, it was beautiful and peaceful. Nature's beauty.

Sweet spot for some great pictures. Roads on the way up and down are narrow, not for the novice driver.

A really amazing place to stop and enjoy.While you don’t even have to do more than just slow down along the road as you go past in order to appreciate it, stopping to stand under it and spending time there is quite enjoyable.

I would definitely recommend to stop by and enjoy this awesome little spot. Bridal Veil Falls is well worth the time. Kind of a small area with only the waterfall and right off of the side of the road. Nicely paved walkway under the falls that is blocked to vehicles but you can walk under.

It’s very accessible, it’s right off the rd and sometimes you can drive under it. Although there’s not much water it’s still worth a visit

The beauty is hard to photograph. Well worth the trip. Many other waterfalls in close vicinity.

It's also an amazing view you should check out on the way to Dry Falls.

This place was BEAUTIFUL, and literally right alongside the road. All you need to do is park and walk 20-30 feet. The road up is pretty hairy in spots though, so if you don't feel comfortable driving on very narrow roads with cliffs on the sides, ride with someone else.

We went during early winter time which is end of December, it was slippery but amazingly beautiful, they sometimes close the go in through we got lucky it was open and we were able to take photos.

Very awesome roadside falls. A must see on the highway of the waterfalls, it is located right outside of Highlands, NC and minutes away from another cool falls Dry Falls. All of which are along Highway 64. Definitely worth stopping by to check out the beauty of nature.

Such a nice small place on the road side. The views while going towards drywall and bridal veil falls are incredible. True to it's name waterfall feels like a veil. Amazing little place for small stop. There are no parking but one could stop for a while.

Absolutely gorgeous falls and not to bad of a trek to get to it..that being said the temperature had dipped into the 30s and there was ice on parts of the sidewalk and stairs and they had blocked off the trail that ran behind the falls which was disappointing. Definitely worth stopping.

Hidden gem inside mountains. First stop for out of state visitor who was impressed. Small parking area very crowded. $3 to park scan a QR code to pay. No park ranger or tour guide but pinned map to tell you about area but didn't see history of falls. Beautiful area but people move in and out quickly as there are no picnic spots and people are respectful of the limited parking area. Natural port-a-john in the parking lot. One hole for men and one for women. It's a hole with nothing to flush so don't drop anything. Bring hand sanitizer, no sinks to wash hands.

Wow! I have hiked many waterfalls and granted this is Not much of a hike, but this was incredible. There has been a lot of rainfall lately, so the volume of water was probably much higher than normal. What makes this so unusual is the fact that you can walk behind the falls. You really can feel the power, and you will get wet! Take a coat or just enjoy the moment.

Absolutely beautiful! No words can explain the views, especially right now iced over. Be very careful if you make the trip down as there are iced over spots to get to under the falls.

Beautiful and a must see!! It was easy to find using maps. The steps and walkway down to the falls made it easy access and I would definitely make the trip back.

The waterfalls is beautiful to experience. Try to go during summer,spring or fall, not so in the winter we went early winter and the road is very wet and slippery the pathway are glassy ice so it's dangerous to walk on. We visited again during summer and it's awesome! It's free no tickets needed, just drive carefully in the mountains.

Definitely worth a trip if you are vacationing in the Smokies area. You will get wet when you walk behind the falls so wear a poncho or rain coat if you have one!Bathrooms in the parking lot. Parking contribution of $3 mentioned by others is a simple cash deposit box.

We went towards the end of Dec this year in the mid morning and about 10 other ppl were there but it wasn’t crowded feeling (about 5 more families came by the time we left). You park (lots of spaces) and literally just walk down the stairs (has railing) to the waterfall. So easy and so quick! Wouldn’t even call it a hike. Just a flight of stairs that aren’t even steep to the waterfall. When we went half of the falls was frozen with white snow like colors and half the falls was gushing so much water! You can still walk behind the falls but the grounds closest to the water was frozen and slippery so go at your own risk. Lots of giant icicles for great photos. Highly recommend for an easy but super rewarding experience. Think there might have been a sign to pay for parking but saw no one pay. We were there for an easy 20 minutes.

Absolutely gorgeous spot! The gate was locked but you still get close to the falls just cant go under. Hoping to come back when you can walk underneath. Short walk down some stairs. Lovely views. Cute spot to bring someone special.

Dry Falls is a must! Parking lot for a $3 donation. Paved, hand rail complete trail. You get awesome views all around. Definitely recommend!

Impressive waterfall, easy access, $3 fee per car. Short walk (1/8mile) down stone stairs and walkway with rails all the way. You see the beauty of the falls after first turn, continue on and you can walk behind the falls. Can get slippery, but worth the careful steps. Beautiful and powerful loud from many angles!

This is an easy walk to the Falls. Being able to walk behind is so fun and different from the other waterfalls. Parking is seriously limited here for the amount of traffic. You may have to wait for someone to leave to be able to park especially on a Saturday.

I would say it was more walking back up because we were mostly walking upstairs but still not strenuous at all.

Wonderful place to hike and walk by the falls. Well maintained. The paved path to the back of the falls are the best. Must visit place for thr trip from Atlanta to Smoky Mountains. The mountainous route is little tricky and single lane on each direction. Be ready for the delay on peak seasons.Got restroom access.

It's beautiful, easy to get to. Walk way into the falls. It's definitely a special place. I've been to many waterfalls, very few like this.

The brand new RV campsite is as phenomenal as the park. Very easy access and luxuriously big RV sites with concrete pad, rock area with fire pit and picnic table. The bathrooms are shockingly nice, when you walk in it feels like you’re walking into a hotel bathroom, so well done. They can’t post is very friendly and there’s even firewood you can buy on site which is a lifesaver if you have kids and they start asking for a fire and you don’t have any firewood! From the RV site rainbow falls is but a short walk. I highly recommend this park and definitely this campground.

Satisfying visitor center and facilities. We hiked the Rainbow Falls trail. The waterfall is awesome and worth the hike. The kiosk is a bit misleading. I think it is more than a mile and a half. The trail is difficult when you get past the sign that says no leaving the state park. Pack smart and please pick up after your dogs! Most of the trail smelled like poop. I think I’ll come back on a cooler and less crowded day.

The only way this park possibly get any better is if it had a small dog park. This park otherwise is darn near perfect! The camp host Dale is very nice and extremely helpful. The office workers are awesome and it is a beautiful building with a great deal learning displays and actually have an amphitheater big enough for about 60 to seventy people to sit and watch the educational video about their parks in North Carolina. I highly recommend this park to everyone. It also has many hiking trails to some great waterfalls if your able.

So beautiful! The hike was pretty long and tough but to be fair we were on a time limit with the school. Getting to Rainbow Falls 🌈 was amazing and you will be happy you went. ❤️ I also was able to capture some once in a lifetime exquisite shots with my Canon R6!

What a beautiful, beautiful park! We visited to make the hike to Rainbow Falls on a gorgeous autumn day. It was a tough, 4 mile hike for this 70 year old but we made it! The falls are beautiful and well worth the effort. The park has other falls, picnic areas, camping and a beautiful visitor's center. Make the trip!

We camped at Gorges State Park for the first time this April. The campground is brand new so everything is in tip top shape. There are a variety of site types that include tent only, RV or camper, and even a couple little cabins that you can rent. There is a wood shed where you can purchase pre bundled firewood on the honor system. While this is very convenient and helpful, I do suggest bringing your own since the bundles are small and of course over priced. Also you are not allowed to take or use any sticks or limbs from the property even if it is on the ground dead and not attached to anything living. This is my biggest reason for the 4 star rating. I have never stayed anywhere that has not allowed campers to harvest the already dead and fallen sticks and branches that litter the ground and I have stayed at a lot of different types of campgrounds in different areas. I'm not talking about anything that needs to be pulled on or axed either as I would definitely not expect that to be allowed. Park Rangers did roll through regularly during all hours. Even though it was a weekend and pretty much every site was occupied it was very calm and quiet. The sites are a decent size and you don't feel like you are on top of your neighbors. The bathhouse is very nice and spacious which isn't surprising since it is brand new. Showers looked decent as well. Depending on where you're staying will depend on how far your walk to the bathroom will be so it can either be very convenient or quite a hike. The only other thing I can say I didn't love was how long the road is to the campground once you get into the park however this is also a plus because it puts you way back in the woods which makes for beautiful views and a peaceful, quiet atmosphere! You also drive past/over a pretty waterfall so it is a great way to start your stay. Overall I definitely recommend checking out Gorges State Park and it's campground. There are also numerous hiking trails of varying degrees of difficulty and length and plenty of amazing views and waterfalls.

Great park with nice trails with waterfalls, really great camping sites to reserve and even cabins you can rent. Perfect place to get away and enjoy nature and beautiful scenery.

Beautiful #StatePark in Transylvania County, NC. Could’ve stayed a week. The weather was a bit overcast but cleared up by mid morning. The hike through Rainbow Falls was great and well worth it. The water streams and Rainbow Falls Waterfall are stunning. Make sure to wear a good pair of hiking shoes for the trail and lots of other trails located around the park. There’s no entry fee to the park and maps of the park are FREE (yippee). Love the campground area, back country campsites and the bathhouse, restrooms are very clean. There are (5-6) small adorable cabins, too. The park is spacious, peaceful and laidback with a very nice visitors center and great staff. So much to do and see around the Gorge. Lots of tails, multiple picturesque waterfalls 🏕️, 🥾,🎣,🚴🏼,🏃🏽‍♀️,🚤.Would love to return to see remaining waterfalls.Gorge is a beautiful place. Y’all should go visit. Amazing park engaging history. Hike to rainbow falls was amazing once you get river side. A little on the wet side, not a hike for people who don't hike as the steps are a little eroded so there are some more difficult parts. It is worth the hike though, epic doesn't do it justice.

This park and rainbow falls had been hyped up to me from many people I've met. I looked at the Alltrails options and some photos and I just didn't really get it (there are so many waterfalls and hiking options nearby). Well now I get it. The beautiful visitor center has spectacular views and Rainbow Falls is unlike any other we've seen. And it's all free! North Carolina state parks are fantastic.

The campgrounds are rather new, beautiful and well maintained. The visitors center is great with a lot in the gift shop. The waterfalls are worth the hike with proper footwear. Did see two timber rattlers in the park not on the trails.

Gorges State Park is a family friendly Park with extremely clean restrooms, picnic areas, short hikes, or even long moderate challenging hikes. Beautiful waterfalls and scenery everywhere. I will be back for a longer hike.

My husband and I loved this place 🥰, very nice hike. The view was spectacular. Rainbow Falls is the best waterfall I’ve seen in a long time. The bathrooms at the visitor center were clean. just be careful and make sure you follow the signage instructions concerning slippery rocks and messing around near the falls.

My husband and I and out 4 kids stayed in one of the cabins. The cabins have a back room with 2 sets of bunk beds (sleeps 4) and the front room has a queen size bed. They have electricity and space to put your stuff and food inside. The bathhouse is right across the street from the cabins and is super super nice! Probably the best I have ever seen! There was firewood available at the campground for $8 a bundle and you can pay via PayPal which was nice. We hiked rainbow falls with our kids (ages 8,6,4, 2.5) and it was totally worth it, roaring waterfall. We are in decent shape so the hike was not what I would consider strenuous but it is more uphill coming back. The nature center is super nice with a great view, there isn't a kid playground but the roads in the campground were all well paved so the kids could ride and scooter around those, we will be back!

We went again the other day and walked the easy trail below the park museum and info center. It has viewing platforms that I didn't know were there before. And in the fall just wow they are stunning. This is perfect trail for toddlers, littles learning to walk, strollers, etc. It's a pretty decent trail. My son was adequately worn out after and had fun exploring and reading the signs along the way. Very informative infographics too

Gorges state park is truly gorgeous. From the waterfalls and wildlife, to the people on the trails, it was one beautiful moment after another. Rainbow falls is one special place that needs to be preserved for future adventure seekers.

There's a reason why this hike consistently gets rated as one of the best in NC--with three waterfalls to checkout on this moderate out and back hike, it is a popular destination for families and hikers with pets.There is ample parking, clean restrooms, and plenty of nice picnic areas.

We went on the trail to see rainbow falls. It was a very beautiful trail. There are some difficult spots towards the end that I could see an older person struggling with but overall a wonderful hike. The waterfalls were also beautiful.

Great park w/ lots of hiking trails and waterfalls to hike to. Campground is brand new w/ generous concrete pad RV sites, full hookups, picnic tables and fire pits. Only slight negative was the price of firewood bundles. At $9 each seemed a bit pricey.

The most perfect park to stay at. Pads are cemented with water, sewage and electricity. Off to the side is a gravel area with fire pit and picnic table. Restrooms have the most amazing showers. There are cabins for rent and an area for tents. Area is so clean and trash is picked up day a couple of times.

So beautiful. We did the hike to Rainbow falls and ate lunch at the picnic area.

Absolutely amazing! The stairs to get the better view are completely worth it. There doesn't seem to be any path to the bottom of the falls, so you don't get the chance to get close to them, at least that we found. If I were in the area, I would go back. Parking is $3 using the envelope system.

BEAUTIFUL!!! This is a nice little hike, or it can be a long hike. There is a nice size parking lot. It is $3 per vehicle or $1 per person after 7 people. The path to the waterfall is paved. You can view from up top, or if you are able and willing, you can take the stairs down to another viewing area! It is so worth it. There were quite a few people there, so it was a wait to get a picture of the fall from the viewing platform. There is a path off of the viewing platform that consists of stairs, stairs, and more stairs. Lol Different kinds of stairs too...wood stairs, rock stairs, tree root stairs.... there were probably more kinds if we made it all the down! Although I was completely unprepared for that kind of hike, carrying my 6 year old and her teddy bear strapped into it's adorable little teddy bear stroller that she just had to bring, it was quite beautiful. If you're not looking to exert a bunch of energy... skip that trail and just enjoy the view of the waterfall from the platform!

Whitewater falls is amazing view point. You cannot reach the water by any source. 1st view is with road path which is less than .5 mile… then there is a .1 stairs down less than 100 steps to get a full view of waterfalls… looks awesome! 3 dollar ticket for car parking!

Beautiful but not sure how to get close. There is an overlook 1/2 mile from the parking lot, and then another down the stairs. Both afford about the same view. Take the trails because they are awesome and extensive, but still none get close to the falls.

Beautiful! The highest waterfall East of the Rockies. In the Nantahala National Forest. Fee is $3 per car. Restrooms on site. Paved trail to the upper overlook (handicap accessible). Stairs down to the lower overlook. Family friendly.

This is a very nice area. They do have few picnic table you can come and enjoy with the beautiful view. If you go through the trail. Be careful as it can be slippery in some of the steps. It was a little wet when we went. Beautiful waterfall though.

Beautiful falls but only gave it 4 stars because it's the kind of place that you get to it, take a picture, and leave. After walking down wooden stairs, you end up on a viewing deck. The waterfall is in the distance. It's a fairly easy hike. Getting there is easy but after you do have to walk back up the stairs but there is a bench at the halfway point to take a rest.We did this along with Silver Run Falls, 9 miles away. Both of these hikes are fairly easy and would be good for small children and/or dogs. I recommend doing both of these falls on same day because you can easily do both within 90 minutes.

It was a very short walk to get to the first viewpoint of the waterfall and a few great views of the mountains and the water on the way up. There's also a closer vantage point of the waterfall that you can get to by walking a couple flights of stairs and there's a trail that goes down past the waterfall but there are no more views of the waterfall from that point and there is no railing or guard to protect you from falling on the trail down the mountain so be very careful if you do decide to head down that trail.

Amazing views with multiple trails, if you're noy much of a hiker or don't want to go up and down small trails through woods you can park at "upper whitewater falls parking area" and walk the .5 mile paved path to the falls overlook. But if you love hiking and want great views whole time I suggest parking at the lower falls parking area and hiking your way up to the overlook. There is also multiple trails on that path that lead to other falls if you choose to hike more.

Awesome hike! 10/10 short and sweet! So worth the decent! I definitely had to do some rock hopping to get to the bottom of the falls but so worth every minute of it! Enjoy

Terrific views from the top.You can either walk down the first set of steps until the first lookout suitable for kids or elderly and if you’re more adventurous and fit you can keep going down the steep trail, remembering that you’ll have to walk everything back up but the nature walking down, arriving to the bridge and river will take you with great memories.

Whitewater Falls is incredible beautiful! You do have to pay to park but it’s only $3! If you paid at Dry Falls then you have access to this waterfall! And if you paid at this waterfall then you have access to Dry Falls! It’s a short trail that is paved! Then you do have to climb down stairs to view the falls and then of course climb back up! Definitely recommend seeing this waterfall if you are in the area!

Beautiful area 2 great viewing spots.There is a 3rd path that leads to the top of the falls but it was closed and covered by down trees and such so if you want to see the falls up close I don't think it's "allowed" at the time I went. Overall it was beautiful I didn't take the trail but parking is only $3 a day at the time I went and it looks like a good family outing time

This fall was within an easy walk from the parking lot. The walkway and steps looked new and were well designed. The viewing platform was plenty big enough for many people to comfortably stand, take selfies, and enjoy the view.

Amazing must visit. Paved path at the top if you cannot do the stairs, stairs to get closer and a more off the beaten path for hikers.

Gorgeous waterfall! Easy “walk” on paved trail which leads to 2 different look outs. I suggest you plan your day and research other places/waterfalls in the vicinity bc this isn’t a hike but well worth the trip!

Pretty short walk up the paved hill for a beautiful view of the falls. There is a pay for parking but I did not have any cash or wifi to scan the QR code to pay. You just have to be mindful to stay on the trail, as there have been casualties from people going off on their own.

Over the years, I have had the opportunity and pleasure of viewing these falls! Beautiful pretty well sums it up. Stunningly beautiful during the Fall season. Accessible by walking for approximately 1/2 mile on a relatively flat, asphalt pathway. Handicapped friendly to reach the viewing area. You can walk down a steep, well-constructed hiking trail to reach the bottom portion of the Falls. The hike back up is somewhat strenuous!

It's a really cool place. The waterfall is big and beautiful. Better to visit during the waterfall season.

It is located in a very accessible NC State Park that costs 1.00 per to enter. It's a system of honesty, so be honest. It's really worth it. Great place to have a picnic with all the covered tables and clean restrooms. Handicap accessible all the way up to view the falls, then if you want a better view, a short walk down about 50 or so wood steps. Great place to stop for a picnic and take a break with a great view. Some hiking in the area with clean restrooms!

Great wines! Under new ownership, changed the label (I like the old one better), but the wine are excellent, and put a new tasting room on the front, added parking, awesome signs, kept the old tasting room to another room to socialuze in, and added a barn on the hill to sit and enjoy and used as an event area. The staff great and very knowledgeable about the wine.

Tiger Mountain Vineyards was the beautiful location of my proposal and then bachelorette party! Each time I come to the vineyard I am overwhelmed by the hospitality and genuine kindness of the staff. The vineyards are the best background for any big life moment, group trip, wedding, etc.. If you are looking for a day on a vineyard - go to Tiger Mountain Vineyards!

We stopped here our last day in town and so glad we did. They had a good selection to choose from which was nice. There wasn’t any formal tour just tasting but sitting by the barn out back was just blissful. I would highly recommend the winery to anyone looking for a great place to relax.

My husband and I enjoyed a perfect afternoon at Tiger Mountain Vineyards. We experienced a delicious sampling of wines lead by the staff, then ordered a glass of our favorite and sat down to take in the mountain and vineyard views. During all of this we enjoyed listening to beautiful music provided by a wonderful guitarist and violinist. Highly recommend!

We had the absolute best time today visiting this wonderful place in Tiger! Lenny greeted us and was incredibly kind. He showed us around and made us feel right at home. Little did we know, he just took over ownership recently. From our interaction, he will make a great new owner. Great wine, great atmosphere and amazing people. Highly recommend!!

Cute and great ambiance! We stopped in and did the wine tasting. The menu was great and so were our wine experts who walked us through each glass. We then decided on a glass and took them to walk around the grounds. They had a band performing live so we found a seat and listened for a bit before exploring and taking a few pics before leaving. I’ll be completely honest, the wines were delicious and will creep up on you so be careful 😁

Had such a fun time here and the place is lovely. There is plenty of outdoor spots to hang out and sit to enjoy the wine. We tried the wine tasting and all the wine were savory. I took some wine home! This place is worth the drive and they even have live music! I will definitely return to this place. The staff is great and informative over each wine and the process. They gave great details over the wine and place. Such a good spot.

We’ve been to Tiger Mountain twice and have always been impressed with the varietals, the beautiful location and the exceptional customer service. Courtney Lynne went above and beyond to get our wine to us!!! We’ll be sure to be back soon.

What a beautiful place, with surprisingly great wines! We’ve been around a number of vineyards in North Georgia, but came to Tiger Mountain Vineyards for the first time today. It will not be our last visit! First, the vineyard is beautiful, with a great view of Tiger Mountain. The wines were very good, so much so that we had to take a few bottles home with us. And the food was great as well - the “simple” sandwiches were delicious and a great afternoon treat. Most importantly, the people here were super friendly and enjoyable to be around, which just made it into an incredible afternoon!

LAST UPDATE: Talked to the actual owner and he was amazing. Emailed back and forth and we spoke about the situation. He is not the one who wrote the answer to the review below and also stated that i was a great employee and was welcome there anytime. Also in the works of giving me a refund for the dinner me and my husband had. Truly a great owner and handled in the best way! Thank you so much Lenny for all you did.NEVER GOT REFUND THOUGH.Updated: I quit this place i was NEVER terminated. That is a lie... also lets add they slandered me on facebook saying i stole a case of wine when i quickly sent them reciept of my purchase and they deleted their facebook comments before posts were able to be made. The fact the have to lie on this review is ridiculous and why they do not keep employees. I was loyal and worked for you. I have no reason to steal a case of wone from this establishment much less ever be on the property again. Thw property maybe pretty, but thw behind the scenes of how they treat their employees is sp diffrent then what you see. I am a us veteran and this is my hometown... i dont stand behind people who choose to lie for business in this town. To be honest, I worked here and wanted my husband to experience the food and the place because he is in the military and I just wanted to treat him to something nice... so we went. Our waitress was rude and didn't come to our table unless we tracked her down. The manager ended up bring us our food an hour later and we only ordered crab cakes and a chicken Alfredo. We were seated and not helped until a larger party that sat after us and was helped. I was an honest employee and spoke highly of the vineyards. Until this experience... fast forward a month and our miltary life is leading us to another state again and so I put in my notice, and everything was clean and over with. UNTIL... I was accused of stealing a case of their most expensive wine on facebook...That mind you (I bought myself and spent almost my whole check that week on because I loved the wine.) PURCHASED THE NIGHT THE OWNER WAS THERE. (Great guy... the people that run the shoe when he is gone... completly diffrent story.) So I posted my receipt to show I was not a thief. I hope they don't make these false accusations against someone that actually wants to enjoy their time there. Telling me I can't raise my kids from jail. Top notch unprofessional. While the food maybe great , and the wine is fantastic. I will no longer recommend to anyone because when you have a place like this it is all about Customer service and word of mouth. Especially in our small town. Sad this is how I had to leave this place. The chef Shawn is very knowledgeable and has amazing ideas. The Wine maker is amazing and very talented! JOHN AND KELLY were truly amazing and are very proficient in all they do for that place. But when my husband an active duty service member and me a veteran go in and his words were "I felt like a second class citizen there" yeah no I do not recommend. I had to edit this review to show that this establishment lies to cover up their wrongs. I have no reason to lie or steal in my hometown.

We ate lunch in the café. The food was great and I enjoyed the cabernet franc with my meal. Afterward, we went to the tasting room. Beautiful views, gluten free options, and picturesque setting.

New ownership and it shows!! Very well done with great restaurant on site that has great options beyond typical cheese boards and crackers. The new layout, food, wine and service is over the top. Views are great and a cool music venue set up behind the red barn area. The wines are good and we will be back!!
